To share with people affected by storm No. 3, on September 8, Tuoi Tre newspaper decided to provide emergency support of 1 billion VND to people affected by storms and floods.
The Tuoi Tre reporters immediately went to isolated areas of Lao Cai and Yen Bai to give 260 emergency gifts (worth 500,000 VND/gift, including flashlights, power banks, dry food, filtered water, etc.) to people who were isolated by the floods.
Two brothers opened their piggy banks to support children in flood-hit areas to go back to school soon.
Next, Tuoi Tre newspaper coordinated with Lao Cai and Yen Bai Provincial Youth Unions to present 1,500 gifts (1 million VND/gift, including 500,000 VND in cash and school supplies... worth 500,000 VND) and will continue to work with Cao Bang Provincial Youth Union to present 500 gifts to help flood-affected students go to school.

Tuoi Tre Newspaper also spent 3.5 billion VND to coordinate with the Youth Union and the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Hoa Binh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, and Bac Giang provinces to award "Stop Dropping Out" scholarships to 1,000 students of these eight provinces (3 million VND in cash/scholarship) and support 100 teachers in especially difficult circumstances affected by floods (5 million VND/scholarship).

Tuoi Tre Newspaper will also spend 8 billion VND to coordinate with Lao Cai and Cao Bang provinces to review and build 2-3 schools or boarding houses for students in damaged areas.
Set aside 4 billion VND to support livelihoods of people in provinces severely affected by floods and landslides to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 with seedlings, livestock and equipment for livelihood (from 10 to 20 million VND, depending on each specific situation).
In addition, 1 billion VND will be set aside as a "reserve" to support special cases with long-term sustainability. Depending on readers' contributions, Tuoi Tre newspaper will continue to implement programs to rebuild people's lives in the coming time.

Along with the above programs, Tuoi Tre newspaper also coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union to organize a volunteer team to repair houses, examine patients, distribute medicine, and give gifts to victims affected by storms and floods in Lao Cai and Tuyen Quang with a total budget of 2 billion VND; coordinated with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Labor Confederations of some northern provinces to support and help workers and laborers in difficult circumstances affected by floods with an estimated budget of 2.1 billion VND.
