Russian sources have shared a video recording an attack on Ukraine's S-300 long-range air defense system deployed near the Rusyn Yar settlement in the Donetsk region.
Before the start of the Russian special military operation, Kiev forces had about 100 batteries of S-300P, S-300PT, S-300PS and S-300V1 in service. During the first few months of operation, the country received an additional S-300PMU complex from Slovakia.
On the same day, a video of Russia attacking Ukraine's Buk-M1 medium-range air defense system also appeared on social media. The incident occurred in the Khoten settlement in the Sumy region.
Kiev forces had about 70 Buk-M1 systems before Russia began its special military operation, some of which have been upgraded to the Buk-M1-2 standard.
Over the past few months, the Russian military has stepped up its suppression of Ukrainian air defenses, damaging or destroying dozens of Ukrainian systems, including those supplied by the West.
The Lancet suicide drones are also a major threat to Ukraine’s military equipment. Recently, SF reported that in the past 7 days (from February 24 to March 1), 26 pieces of Ukrainian military equipment were destroyed by Russian Lancet aircraft.
Ukraine's losses included: 13 tanks, including a German-made Leopard 2A4; 8 self-propelled guns, including a French-made Caesar, a Swedish-made Archer, a Ukrainian-made Bohdana, a Slovakian-made Zuzana 2 and a Polish-made Krab; 2 towed guns, a Strela-10 short-range air defense system and two unidentified vehicles.
The Lancet suicide drone is manufactured by ZALA Aero. This aircraft has two versions, the Izdeliye-52 with a 30-minute flight time and a 1kg warhead, and the Izdeliye-51 with a 40-minute flight time and a 3kg warhead.
From the very first days of the special military operation, the Russian army used Lancet suicide drones to destroy high-value targets of Kiev forces.
