Khanh Hoa promises a bumper crop season

Khanh Hoa province's tourism industry aims to welcome 4 million overnight guests and strive for tourism revenue of VND21,000 billion in 2023.

With positive figures during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, this summer, tourism in Khanh Hoa province is expected to continue to grow in both domestic and international markets. Currently, many travel and tourism companies have stepped up communication, promotion, and launched new products to attract visitors to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa for entertainment and relaxation.

Exciting event series

According to the Department of Tourism, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the province welcomed nearly 200,000 overnight guests, including more than 181,000 domestic visitors and nearly 18,500 international visitors. In addition, tourist attractions in the province welcomed 598,500 visitors. Total tourism revenue during the holiday reached more than VND854 billion.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism assessed that the tourism promotion work, the initiative of tourism enterprises have created many new and attractive tourism products, promoting the needs of entertainment, shopping, sightseeing of tourists... are the "key" to the success of tourism in the province during the recent holiday. Ensuring security and safety of tourism activities during the holiday has been of local concern, contributing to the prosperity of tourism in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

Currently, many businesses have plans to organize major activities for summer tourism. Most recently, on May 9, VinWonders announced the Wonder Summer 2023 summer festival program with the highlight of the WonderFest International Sea Festival lasting for 45 days at VinWonders Nha Trang.

Opening on June 1, WonderFest 2023 simultaneously launched the new entertainment blockbuster "Flying Cinema" - the first in Vietnam; a children's festival themed Tata World with the participation of 150 children; a series of events of the Great Water World War, a refreshing summer day in the jubilant atmosphere of music and dance; a local food fair honoring regional specialties; a sea sports festival for families...

As planned, during 6 weeks, WonderFest at VinWonder Nha Trang will have a series of "festivals" with 131 entertainment activities and events, nearly 800 shows and mini-shows; the finale will be climaxed and sublimated with a large-scale international music festival with the participation of music superstars from the UK, the US and the hottest artists in Vietnam.

In particular, this summer, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa has many cultural, tourism and sports events, such as: Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival (early June), tourism and cinema linkage program in Khanh Hoa (late June), 2nd Nha Trang Paragliding Festival, VnExpress Marathon Nha Trang 2023 (scheduled for August 13)...

“With many attractive events, we believe that this summer, tourism in the province will attract a large number of visitors,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh. Mr. Pham Minh Nhut, Vice President of the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, also said that with its strengths in sea and island tourism, Khanh Hoa will attract a large number of visitors during the upcoming peak tourist season.

Positive signal

Currently, the number of guests booking summer vacation rooms is high, especially on weekends. Travel agencies in the province have offered summer tours and have shown positive signs. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Green Travel Company Limited (KHAXA TOUR) said: "The number of guests booking tours and looking for tours to Khanh Hoa is quite high, especially groups of guests from the North and the Central Highlands.

Besides, the number of tourists traveling by personal vehicles is increasing. They often book resort rooms, then choose tours and attractions upon arrival...”.

Mr. Tran Minh Duc - Deputy Director of Long Phu Tourism Company, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Tourism Association said, this summer is considered the golden season of Vietnam tourism in general and Khanh Hoa in particular.

With promotional activities and stimulus programs, it is forecasted that the province will welcome a large number of visitors in the summer, soon completing the target of welcoming 4 million tourists in 2023. However, tourism units also need to promote stimulus programs, improve service quality, introduce many new tourism products to attract tourists, increase the experience..., thereby creating momentum for growth in the summer tourism season and the remaining months of the year.

In 2023, the provincial tourism industry aims to welcome 4 million overnight guests, including 2.5 million domestic visitors and 1.5 million international visitors; striving for tourism revenue of VND 21,000 billion. According to statistics from the Department of Tourism, in the first 4 months of the year, the whole province welcomed more than 1,150,000 tourists, an increase of 148.9% over the same period in 2022, including more than 361,000 international visitors and more than 789,000 domestic visitors. Total tourism revenue in the first 4 months is estimated at more than VND 6,054 billion, an increase of nearly 139.9%.
