Spreading right values, refuting wrong arguments

Hai Ba Trung District is one of the first localities to launch the contest and provide training and skills to participate in the contest for cadres, party members, and reporters.

Having participated in the contest for many years, Party member Dang Binh Minh, Party Cell of Residential Group No. 3 (Quynh Mai Ward) realizes that protecting the Party's ideology is not only the responsibility of leaders at all levels but also the duty of every patriotic citizen.

Therefore, Party member Dang Binh Minh as well as many Party members in Hai Ba Trung District Party Committee actively participated in the contest to practice political thinking and demonstrate their responsibility for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Directly guiding the plan for cadres and party members, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Hai Ba Trung District Party Committee Vu Van Hoat said that the theme of this year's contest has some new points that are more topical than previous years. In particular, the entries need to focus on Vietnam's outstanding achievements over 40 years of renovation, party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; strategic decisions to bring the country into a new era - the era of national development.

At the recent launching ceremony of Tay Ho District Party Committee, Head of the District Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Tran Quang Dao emphasized that the contest is not only a political activity but also affirms the important role of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views. "The Organizing Committee will award 50 prizes to outstanding works in the categories of journalism, radio, television, and video clips. In addition, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee will reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing and participating in the contest," informed comrade Tran Quang Dao.

Nguyen Van Chien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Cau Giay District, said that in order for the contest to achieve high results, the District Party Committee requested Party committees at all levels, grassroots Party organizations, agencies, units, departments, branches, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to closely follow the contest plan and appendix, and organize extensive implementation with the goal of attracting a large number of cadres, party members and people to participate.

Synchronous, methodical and unified implementation

Practically responding to the fifth political contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025, chaired by the Central Steering Committee 35 and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee issued Plan No. 302-KH/TU on February 24, 2025, to organize the "Fifth political contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025 in Hanoi".

With many years of experience in successfully organizing the contest, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Tu Liem District Party Committee Nguyen Tien Thanh said that the unit will promote extensive propaganda on mass media. Through that, it will encourage, motivate, and mobilize the participation of a large number of cadres, party members, intellectuals, artists, police officers, soldiers, union members, association members... At the same time, it will organize training, guidance, and orientation on the theme and content to ensure strict compliance with the contest rules.

In order for the contest to achieve high results and create a wide spread, Hoang Mai District Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Linh requested that localities and units pay attention to and focus on training for different types of articles. In particular, orienting the selection of topics and current issues, encouraging creative approaches, using diverse data sources, multi-dimensional practical information of localities and units...

In 2024, the Hanoi Youth Union received more than 9,000 entries, double the number of entries compared to the previous year, and selected 35 quality entries in many categories such as: Electronic magazines, printed magazines, printed newspapers, television videos, radio... From the above success, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Nguyen Tien Hung said that the unit will strongly apply digital transformation in propaganda and implementation work, so that this meaningful contest can spread strongly. "The contest will become a vibrant competition of young people and all classes of people, demonstrating the pioneering spirit, responsibility and creativity of young people with the whole Party, the whole army and the whole people to bring the country firmly into a new era - the era of national growth", Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Nguyen Tien Hung confidently said.

Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee Nguyen Doan Toan said that successfully organizing the contest is a necessary and important task in the current period. Comrade Nguyen Doan Toan said that experience after many years of launching the contest shows that the party committees of any unit that are interested will have highly effective contests. Localities and units that organize contests at their level all have high results; many localities and units have a number of good quality articles. However, there are still some limitations such as entries that are incorrect in format, number of words, regulations, presentation standards, and participation forms in various categories, leading to good content still being eliminated.

In order for the contest to be implemented synchronously, systematically, uniformly and achieve high results, creating a widespread influence in the city, the City Steering Committee 35 recommends that Party committees at all levels, grassroots Party organizations, agencies, units, departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations from the city to the grassroots level closely follow the plan, regulations, and organize the contest extensively with the goal of attracting a large number of cadres, party members and people to participate. At the same time, strengthen the leadership, direction of propaganda, implementation, and response to the contest in a systematic, scientific, and creative manner among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in their localities, units and sectors, contributing to the overall success of the city-level contest.

To improve the quality of articles, localities and units need to pay special attention to and focus on training in various types of articles. In particular, orienting the selection of topics and current issues, encouraging creative approaches, using diverse data sources, and multi-dimensional practical information of localities and units to ensure compliance with the criteria and rules of the contest set forth by the Organizing Committee.

According to the plan, the grassroots level will complete the selection and submission of entries to the Organizing Committee of the contest before May 25, 2025. The city level will complete the reception and grading of the preliminary round at the city level before June 20, 2025; the final round will be completed before July 14, 2025; the selection and submission of high-quality entries to participate in the Central level contest will be completed before July 15, 2025.
