21 Vietnamese enterprises attend the La Habana International Fair in Cuba Strengthening the promotion of Vietnam - Cuba trade exchange |
The Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said it has coordinated with domestic and foreign partners to organize a Vietnamese business delegation to participate in the 39th International Havana Fair (FIHAV 39) in the capital of Havana, Cuba. This is the largest annual event in Latin America and the Caribbean.

At this year's fair, Vietnam participated in the national pavilion with an area of 400 m2, with 16 booths introducing agricultural products, processed foods, household appliances, construction materials, interior and exterior decoration, vaccines, biological products. The highlight is the Ho Chi Minh City pavilion cluster with more than 50 enterprises displaying products with strengths in the fields of agriculture, industry, and handicrafts such as: Rice, spices, coffee, dried fruits, confectionery, wooden furniture, essential oils, traditional handicrafts, functional foods, machinery and equipment for processing agricultural and aquatic products...

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam National Pavilion and trade connection activities on November 8, Mr. Hoang Minh Chien - Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency emphasized: Vietnam is currently Cuba's second largest Asian trade partner and participating in this exhibition is considered a positive move, aiming to strengthen cooperation with partners in the Cuban market, creating momentum for export turnover growth in the coming time.

In addition, Mr. Chien said that not only Cuba but also Latin American and Caribbean countries are identified as potential markets, continuing to have large import demands for goods that are Vietnam's export strengths. Therefore, successfully penetrating the Cuban market will open up opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to deeply access other markets in Latin America.
It is known that the Vietnam National Pavilion at FIHAV 39 will welcome visitors from November 6 to 13, 2023.
In general, Vietnamese products at the fair received many positive reviews for their quality and suitability to the tastes of the Cuban and Latin American markets.
Within the framework of the FIHAV39 fair, there was a program called “Vietnam - Cuba Business Forum” organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba, the Cuban Chamber of Commerce in coordination with relevant units. The Forum is an important program that helps Vietnamese enterprises better understand the mechanism of economic innovation policies, trade incentives, potential investment fields as well as orientations in trade promotion activities of ministries, branches and localities to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba. The program also has the participation of more than 100 Vietnamese and Cuban enterprises with experience in the fields of agricultural products, food - beverages, household appliances, handicrafts, technical machinery in agriculture and industry, construction - construction materials, and healthcare. |
