VSON8 School gathers many leading scientists and researchers in the field of Neutrino Physics such as Professor Yuichi Oyama, KEK Institute, Japan; Professor Atsumu Suzuki, Kobe University, Japan; Professor Makoto Miura, ICRR, University of Tokyo, Japan; Professor Jennifer Thomas, University College London, UK; Professor Sanjib Kumar Agarwalla, Institute of Physics (IOP), Bhubaneswar, India; Professor Junting Huang, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China; Professor Tsuyoshi Nakaya, University of Tokyo, Japan...

VSON School is an international science summer school held annually at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE). VSON is organized to create conditions for students pursuing the field of particle and nuclear physics in Vietnam to have the opportunity to access basic and in-depth knowledge related to Neutrinos. At the same time, students have the opportunity to practice directly with software and hardware used in international Neutrinos experiments.

With the knowledge foundation of Neutrino, many Vietnamese and international students have had the opportunity to continue studying and researching in this field.

The Neutrino Physics Research Group, Institute for Interdisciplinary Research and Education (IFIRSE, ICISE) is the only experimental research group, pioneering in Vietnam to participate in international experiments located in Japan and has achieved certain successes such as contributing to the research results of the T2K experiment - one of the 10 world scientific discoveries in 2020.

VSON School was first organized in 2017 with the help of leading Neutrino Physics experts from Japan, and has shown its high quality by attracting international students from Europe, the US, Japan, India and other Southeast Asian countries. With the knowledge base of Neutrino from previous Neutrino classes, many Vietnamese and international students have had the opportunity to continue their research studies, now have PhDs in the field of Neutrino and have made specific contributions to the international scientific community.

VSON provides useful and interesting knowledge related to the science that plays a central role in contemporary physics, as well as gives students a completely new experience that will help students on the path of self-development, academics, and research in the future.

In addition, students will be provided with knowledge of particle physics and Neutrino Physics; Basic principles and modern techniques to detect them; Neutrino projects that are being and will be built as well as scientific discoveries that can be achieved with these experiments. Along with that, students will also learn specific skills such as running simulations of Neutrino interactions; Classifying interactions through images obtained from the Super-Kamiokande detector - an experiment that directly contributed to the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2015; Directly operating, observing and measuring with a simple cosmic ray measuring system designed by the Neutrino Physics research group at the ICISE Center.

Professor Tran Thanh Van, President of the Vietnam Rencontres du Vietnam, Director of the ICISE Center, said that Neutrino Physics has become one of the important fields with many new discoveries in the world's elementary particle physics research program. However, in-depth research on Neutrino Physics is not yet a basic part of the postgraduate training program of any other training unit in Vietnam.

The main goal of VSON School, founded by Rencontres du Vietnam and ICISE Center, is to provide students with a solid foundation in Neutrino to develop human resources of Vietnamese researchers in this research field.
