This is an annual activity organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preserve and promote national cultural identity, and is also a meaningful activity towards the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 79th anniversary of Uncle Ho's letter to the Southern Ethnic Minorities Congress (April 19, 1946 - April 19, 2025) and the Day of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups (April 19).

The festival took place over two days (April 12 and 13), gathering nearly 800 artisans from 17 districts, towns and cities across the province to participate, with main activities such as recreating community living spaces, performing gongs, folk songs, folk dances, traditional musical instruments; demonstrating gong tuning techniques, performing ethnic costumes, walking on artistic stilts, competing in sack jumping and pounding rice with a pair of pestles.

At this cultural festival, many unique traditional rituals of Gia Lai province's ethnic groups were recreated such as: victory celebration, communal house worship, new rice celebration, buffalo stabbing, grave abandonment, water drop worship, longevity celebration, wedding ceremony, thanksgiving, water procession to the village...

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the art program "Echo of the Great Forest" took place with many special performances by the Dam San Art Troupe and other artists.
