Opening of Hue National Tourism Year 2025: Hue - Ancient capital, new opportunities

At the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that the Opening Ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is the opening event for a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities taking place across provinces and cities across the country, promising to turn Hue into a tourism and cultural center of Vietnam and the region, contributing to promoting and inspiring people to travel, creating momentum to promote the tourism industry to recover and develop quickly and sustainably.

Through 22 events, Hue has been honored to be chosen twice to host the National Tourism Year (2012 and 2025). This is not only a recognition of the position of the land on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world, but also demonstrates the attention and responsibility of the Party, State, and Central agencies for the city in socio-economic development in general and tourism development in particular. National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is not simply a purely cultural tourism event, but also an emotional journey, a trip back in history to touch the endless beauty of the ancient capital. This is an affirmation that Hue is not only a city of history but also a bright spot of the future, a unique cultural tourism center of the whole country, a symbol of innovation and development based on the strength of heritage, elegance, gentleness, and hospitality of each person here.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ministries, sectors, Hue city and localities across the country to continue promoting the achievements, strive to overcome difficulties and challenges, proactively coordinate to implement comprehensive and synchronous solutions to create unique and classy tourism products associated with unique cultural heritage values. Units should promote digital transformation, apply technology to effectively communicate and promote tourism; create new spaces for tourism development, minimize impacts on the environment, natural resources, landscapes and heritage; focus on building a civilized, friendly and sustainable tourism environment; promote green transformation; strongly promote cultural heritage values to promote tourism, taking tourism as a foundation to preserve, embellish and promote local heritage values.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested units and localities to train and develop tourism human resources, strengthen linkages and cooperation between localities, and create a series of destinations called "Ancient Capital Journey". In which, Hue must be the driving force and highlight to attract tourists. Focus on developing tourism infrastructure, improving services, ensuring a safe tourism environment; continue to promote the preservation and promotion of heritage values so that Hue city is always an attractive destination on the international tourism map...
