National Tourism Year 2025 - A journey back in history

On the evening of March 25, a grand floating stage was set up on the Perfume River (Hue City) and was lit up by an art program themed "Love confession of the river" on the opening night of the 2025 National Tourism Year.

The National Tourism Year 2025 with the theme "Hue - ancient capital, new opportunities" organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coincides with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hue City (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025) and Hue Festival 2025. Attending the opening ceremony were Politburo member, Permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh; Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Secretary of Hue City Party Committee Le Truong Luu; leaders of ministries, branches, localities and thousands of people of Hue City.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that the National Tourism Year 2025 will take place with many exciting activities in Hue City and many provinces and cities across the country to achieve the goal of welcoming 22-23 million international visitors and serving 120-130 million domestic tourists in 2025; at the same time, striving for total revenue from tourism to reach about 980-1,050 trillion VND, making Vietnam an attractive destination for international cultural, sports and tourism exchanges; contributing to the successful implementation of the country's socio-economic development plan with a growth target of 8% or more.
