On the evening of March 25, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Hue City organized the art program "Confession of the River", opening the Hue National Tourism Year 2025.

Special art on the opening night of National Tourism Year

In the space of the magical Huong River, more than 800 actors, artists and local people brought to the audience special art performances, bearing the mark of the ancient capital of Hue and a modern Hue city, rising to the new fortunes of the nation.

The main stage of the opening ceremony was designed to float in the middle of the Perfume River, with the background being the Flag Tower and the ancient Hue Citadel system, bringing a new and mysterious feeling to the audience.

The opening ceremony of Hue National Tourism Year 2025 with the theme "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities" kicks off a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities nationwide, making Hue a bright spot for tourism in Vietnam and the region in 2025.

Notable activities during the National Tourism Year 2025 held in Hue include: Hue Nam Palace Festival, Ao Dai Festival, Miss Vietnam Final, Hot Air Balloon Festival, Youth Music Festival, Quintessence of Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival, National Pickleball Youth Championship...

Highlights from the Four Seasons Festival event series in Hue

With the activities of National Tourism Year 2025, Hue city expects to attract about 4.8 - 5 million tourists, of which international visitors account for about 38 - 40% of total visitors.

Vietnam's 6th centrally-governed city also expects that with such a number of visitors, the tourism industry will achieve revenue of about 10,800 - 11,200 billion VND (nearly equal to the total budget revenue of the entire Thua Thien Hue province in 2024).

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, pledged that the locality will organize a variety of activities during the National Tourism Year in Hue, including royal arts, ao dai festival, cuisine, sports and international seminars on sustainable tourism.

"In particular, the series of events of the Four Seasons Festival taking place in 2025 will be the highlight, contributing to creating a colorful cultural picture, making Hue a more attractive destination than ever," said Mr. Phuong.
