Participating in the sports festival in Cluster 2 area are 100 athletes who are new soldiers from the following units: Regiment 82, Division 355; Son La Provincial Military Command; Dien Bien Provincial Military Command and Lai Chau Provincial Military Command.
The content of the sports festival is in the fields of political education, military work, logistics work and technical work with the following competitions: Awareness of political content; platoon officers practice training, squad officers maintain practice on camouflage fortifications, tactics, and team command; practice firing live ammunition AK lesson 1; practice throwing grenades that explode multiple times; practice wrapping explosives, connecting explosive devices and explosive capacity to attack targets; practice digging fortifications and lying down to shoot under enemy fire; practice individual tactical movements; practice commanding movements of unarmed and armed teams; practice 5 basic first aid techniques; practice maintaining and preserving weapons and equipment daily and weekly.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the sports festival, Colonel Nguyen The Hai, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 2, highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the officers and soldiers of the participating units and requested: The Organizing Committee strictly abides by the regulations, organizes, maintains and operates the sports festival in a scientific and serious manner. The participating units and athletes strictly abide by the regulations, sports regulations and military discipline in the spirit of exchange, learning and solidarity. The Jury will score seriously, objectively and honestly, accurately assessing the training of new soldiers of the units. Through the sports festival, the units will promptly gain experience and continue to provide additional training, in order to improve the limited content...
Directly monitoring and maintaining the unit participating in the sports festival, Colonel Tran Van Chanh, Deputy Chief of Politics of the Son La Provincial Military Command, said: “As soon as we received the sports festival plan from Military Region 2, the Party Committee and unit commanders led and directed the unit to train new soldiers to ensure that the training content was correct and sufficient according to the plan; selecting soldiers with good health and good awareness to practice and participate in the sports festival. Through the sports festival, the unit also promptly gained experience to serve the training of new soldiers next year to achieve better results…”.
As one of those who have just completed their sports event, Private Song A Phu, Regiment 754, Son La Provincial Military Command, excitedly said: “This is my first time participating in a sports event, so I am a bit nervous. However, we have been trained and practiced in the unit for all the sports events. This is also an opportunity for us new soldiers to gain experience, learn and continue to practice to participate in other sports events in the future.”
It is known that immediately after the opening ceremony, new soldiers participating in the sports events strictly followed the regulations and ensured safety.
