FROM RESTORING IMPORTANT TRAFFIC ROUTES TO DIVERSIFYING TOURISM PRODUCTS, EACH STEP CARRIES THE EXPECTATION OF CREATING A BREAKTHROUGH FOR THE LOCAL TOURISM INDUSTRY. According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from April 24, 2025, Vietjet Air will resume the Dong Hoi-Hanoi route with a frequency of 3 flights/week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This route is expected to facilitate tourists from the capital to Quang Binh during the peak summer tourist season this year. In addition, charter flights connecting Dong Hoi with Taipei (Taiwan) are also being promoted, opening up opportunities to attract international visitors to Quang Binh.

According to Mr. Tu Thanh Hai, Director of Phong Nha Adventure Travel Company Limited, one of the major bottlenecks of Quang Binh tourism during the peak season is the problem of transportation, especially the number of flights to Dong Hoi is still quite limited. This fact not only reduces the convenience for tourists but also affects the attractiveness of the destination.

“Therefore, opening new routes will bring many practical benefits. When the frequency of flights increases, ticket prices are likely to decrease due to competition, providing more options for tourists. This contributes to attracting more tourists to Quang Binh, especially from distant markets. In addition, the increase in the number of visitors will promote the development of related service industries such as restaurants, hotels and destinations. At the same time, it also opens up business opportunities, creates more jobs and contributes positively to the economic development of the province. In my opinion, investing in and effectively exploiting routes not only solves the "traffic problem" during the peak season but is also a long-term strategy to enhance the competitiveness and position of Quang Binh tourism on the domestic and international tourism map", Mr. Hai affirmed.

At the end of 2024, the super luxury train Sjourney will roll out, taking tourists through many famous tourist destinations in Vietnam, including Quang Binh. This train has received many orders from foreign partners, until 2026.

As the first train in Vietnam and one of 30 trains in the world with its own operating method according to the customer's request, Sjourney is a unique tourism product that brings visitors new experiences when traveling to Quang Binh. Not simply a means of transportation, this train is also an emotional journey, helping visitors enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way and prepare for exciting discoveries in the land of Phong Nha-Ke Bang.

In an effort to connect and promote tourism, Oxalis Adventure has signed a cooperation agreement with Vietnam Railways Corporation to bring many special incentives to tourists. Passengers traveling by train to Quang Binh will receive a 10% discount when booking any Oxalis tour, from gentle exploration experiences to majestic expeditions such as Son Doong.

In addition, visitors arriving in Dong Hoi by night train will be provided with free accommodation at Oxalis Home in Phong Nha town (Bo Trach), allowing them to rest before embarking on their journey to conquer nature. According to a representative of Oxalis Adventure, this is a strategic move in connecting different types of tourism, as well as an effort to enhance the visitor experience and promote sustainable tourism.

According to plan, on April 30, 2025, the North-South expressway passing through Quang Binh will be completed, creating more favorable conditions for tourists and residents to travel more easily, opening up great opportunities for local tourism to develop strongly.

Diversifying connection methods and increasing convenience in travel will play an important role in attracting tourists, especially during the peak summer tourist season. The synchronous connection between aviation, railway and road is the foundation for Quang Binh to build more diverse and rich tourism products.

Not only focusing on expanding transport infrastructure, tourism businesses in Quang Binh are also actively implementing stimulus programs and renewing products to attract tourists. Many promotional programs and attractive service packages are launched to create novelty and meet the diverse needs of tourists. Experiential tours are designed to be more diverse, from cave exploration, trekking, mountain climbing, to gentle activities such as visiting villages, experiencing local cuisine and culture.
