In terms of secondary education, the school is currently ranked number 1 among public schools in Ho Chi Minh City. One factor that few secondary schools in Ho Chi Minh City have is that secondary school students enjoy the teaching and learning conditions of a specialized high school.
Students are "immersed" in an elite environment from space, facilities to school culture, active teaching methods of teachers, the tradition of studiousness of specialized school students...
If in the past, Tran Dai Nghia School only focused on academics, in recent years the school has improved towards international integration. Not only discovering and nurturing excellent students, but also enhancing soft skills training, increasing elective physical education classes, teaching students scientific research methods, organizing exchanges with domestic and foreign students...
This is also the reason why most of Tran Dai Nghia Secondary School students are active, creative, and pass the entrance exam to grade 10 at specialized schools or top high schools in the city.
With the above characteristics, Tran Dai Nghia Specialized School is trusted by many parents, and it is understandable that they want their children to study at it. In reality, there are still children who have to practice from grade 2 to be able to pass the entrance exam to grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia School.
In recent years, there have been many students who passed the 6th grade entrance exam without studying for the exam. Because it is not a school for training "fighting cocks", Tran Dai Nghia students study easily and comfortably, many of them do not need to take extra classes.
Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approved a plan to split Tran Dai Nghia Specialized School into two schools (Tuoi Tre, March 22). That is, Tran Dai Nghia Specialized High School will continue to organize and operate according to the regulations of specialized schools and Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School will organize and operate according to the regulations of secondary schools, high schools and general schools with many levels.
There are also concerns that when schools are separated, all resources will have to be divided in half, and whether the two new schools will be able to maintain the same quality of education as before? This is a question but also a challenge for education managers in Ho Chi Minh City.
