Generative AI - When technology opens a new era of learning

The rapid development of Generative AI (GenAI) is opening a new era with many breakthrough opportunities in various fields, especially education. Generative AI applications such as ChatGPT, Gemini... not only support teachers in creating vivid and intuitive teaching content but also help students access knowledge in many ways, more creatively, more effectively and more personalized.

With Generative AI, students can easily search and synthesize reference materials, expanding their understanding of many topics in just minutes. This technology also helps them develop critical thinking when evaluating and selecting information, while practicing self-learning skills through personalized learning suggestions.

Not just stopping at text, GenAI also creates images, videos and multimedia content, helping students maximize their creativity, from graphic design to programming or digital content creation.

AI is opening a new era with many breakthrough opportunities in different fields, especially education.

In order to help the younger generation access early and raise awareness when using AI, FPT University has deployed online training courses on AI applications in learning for high school students nationwide since December 2024. To date, the program has attracted more than 10,000 participants, helping students approach AI systematically, from theory to practice.

In addition to teaching students the great benefits of using GenAI, FPT University's courses also set standards to follow, especially ethics and responsibility when using artificial intelligence tools.

Students need to know how to use technology consciously, respect copyright, avoid spreading misinformation, protect personal data, and develop critical thinking when dealing with AI-generated content. When properly exploited, GenAI becomes not only a learning support tool but also a driving force to help students develop comprehensively, ready for a volatile digital world.

In addition, in June 2024, FPT University also implemented the project "STEM Education Program in the era of artificial intelligence" to train on AI applications in high school teaching for more than 3,000 teachers from nearly 300 high schools.

FPT University also directly handed over STEM Kits to representatives of high schools participating in the course, providing necessary tools to help teachers and students explore and practice knowledge about technology and STEM. The STEM kits 100% sponsored by FPT University demonstrate the school's sustainable commitment to accompanying schools in expanding access to technology for high school students, improving teaching quality in the journey of developing STEM education in Vietnam.

Experience AI from theory to practice

Continuing pioneering activities in AI education and contributing to the implementation of Resolution No. 57 on scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation, and national digital transformation, FPT University organizes the FPTU GenAI Day 2025 event - a creative playground for students and technology enthusiasts nationwide.

Taking place from February 22 to 23 in Da Nang, the event attracted more than 4,000 participants, including 1,800 high school students from Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam and many other provinces and cities. This is an opportunity for young people to approach AI right from high school, contributing to equipping them with technological thinking and being ready to enter the digital age.

In-depth workshop on AI and technology

FPTU GenAI Day 2025 is an event that updates the latest AI trends and is also a bridge between technology generations. The program creates opportunities for students, lecturers and businesses to access in-depth knowledge through a series of seminars with the participation of leading experts in the fields of artificial intelligence, cloud computing and technology startups.

This workshop not only helped attendees better understand the application of AI in education, economy and society, but also emphasized the importance of applying technology in practice. FPT University not only focuses on technology development but also pays special attention to applying AI to solve life problems, as well as improve the quality of education. Many AI solutions presented at the event aim at specific goals such as optimizing the teaching process, personalizing the learning experience or supporting business decision making.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Tuan - Vice Principal of FPT University spoke at the event.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Tuan, Vice Principal of FPT University said: "As educators, we cannot stand outside the development of AI. AI is making leaps and bounds compared to previous technological advances, as it has the ability to self-learn and produce unpredictable results.

If students do not have access to and understand AI, it will be difficult for them to meet the needs in the near future. Hopefully, FPTU GenAI Day 2025 will be the first step for many subsequent activities, helping students raise awareness and define clear learning goals in the new technology era."

With the desire to disseminate knowledge about artificial intelligence to students, FPT University is not only a pioneer in applying technology to education but also opens up opportunities for the young generation to master technology and be ready for global integration.
