March 15, 2025 – Vingroup Corporation completed the construction of the Royal Bridge (May Chai Bridge) across the Cam River, marking the 1-year milestone of the launch of the "Royal Island City" Vinhomes Royal Island. The bridge is expected to be put into operation in August 2025, shortening the travel time from Vinhomes Royal Island to the city center to only about 5 minutes, becoming one of the new symbols for the development of infrastructure - socio-economy of Hai Phong.

The Royal Bridge is invested by Vingroup Corporation with a length of nearly 2.2 km, total capital of more than 2,300 billion VND. With the starting point on Vu Yen Island connecting directly to Vu Yen Park walking street, the end point intersecting with Le Thanh Tong Street (May Chai Ward, Ngo Quyen District), the Royal Bridge will directly connect the most bustling area of Vinhomes Royal Island with the center of Hai Phong city in just about 5 minutes of travel.

The Royal Bridge is designed in sync with the architectural landscape of the city and is one of the highlights of Vinhomes Royal Island, designed with the idea of the World Gateway Bridge with two towers leaning towards the river, creating an arched shape as an international welcome gate to Vietnam and sending Vietnamese trains and passengers out to the world. Looking horizontally at the bridge, the shape of each bridge tower is designed with inspiration from the image of a bird's wing, expressing the desire to fly high and reach brilliant success.

After completing the closing process, Hoang Gia Bridge is expected to open to technical traffic on May 30, 2025 and officially put into operation in August 2025, becoming one of the iconic infrastructure works of the Port City.

Along with the opening of the Royal Bridge, Hai Phong also plans to build an ecological park system, sports and service areas, housing and multi-purpose buildings in the area of the South Cam River, close to the foot of the Royal Bridge, creating a highlight for the development of regional infrastructure.

Previously, Hai Phong also deployed a series of infrastructure projects connecting Hai Phong's traditional urban areas with the new urban area of Thuy Nguyen, expected to be completed in 2027, such as starting construction of Nguyen Trai Bridge - the 6th bridge across the Cam River, expanding Nguyen Trai Street from 18 m to 43.5 - 50.5 m connecting directly to Le Hong Phong; building a road along the Cam River connecting Ngo Quyen Street with the riverside road at the foot of Hoang Van Thu Bridge; relocating Hoang Dieu Port and renovating the surrounding area...

When the projects are completed, Vu Yen and Thuy Nguyen will become strategic traffic coordinates, conveniently and quickly connecting with the center of Hai Phong's "old town", industrial parks, seaports and neighboring provinces.

Located in a prime location where urban and social infrastructure are developing strongly, Vinhomes Royal Island is considered an ideal model of a multi-connected urban area, guaranteeing the potential for sustainable value increase and becoming a convergence point of the global elite community.
