(CLO) Quan The Am - Ngu Hanh Son Festival is one of the folk festivals imbued with the religious and belief elements of Buddhism.
On the evening of March 16, at Quan The Am Pagoda (Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City), the 2025 Quan The Am Ngu Hanh Son Festival officially opened.
The Quan The Am Ngu Hanh Son Festival is listed among the 15 major festivals of the country and is a national intangible cultural heritage. This is the third year the Quan The Am Festival has been held on a city scale.
In 2025, the festival will take place from March 16 to 19 (February 17 to 20 of the lunar calendar). The festival includes a ceremony with religious rituals: Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara's Birthday Ceremony (March 18); Incense offering ceremony in memory of Princess Huyen Tran, Spring worship ceremony to pray for national peace and prosperity.

The festival includes activities such as displaying and performing Non Nuoc stone art, cultural and artistic activities, performing lion and dragon dances, bamboo dancing, traditional boat racing, Vietnamese vegetarian cuisine space, flower car parade to welcome the festival; art program to welcome the festival "Shining jade lotus platform"...
In particular, this year the festival has two meaningful activities, the first is the Peace Walk Program with more than 300 representatives of city agencies, organizations and foreign consulates in Da Nang participating.
The second is the discussion "The influence of Buddhism in the Ma Nhai documentary heritage at Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot". These are activities to promote and enhance the value of the Quan The Am Festival - National intangible cultural heritage.
According to Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the Quan The Am - Ngu Hanh Son Festival is one of the folk festivals imbued with the religious and belief elements of Buddhism.
The festival is an occasion for Buddhists in particular and the people in general to pray for national peace and prosperity, for the happiness of all living beings, to arouse compassion, charity, and goodness in each person, for harmony between Buddhism and the nation, and for love of the homeland.
This is also an attractive destination not only for domestic tourists but also an opportunity for international tourists to experience and learn about the spiritual values imbued with the history and culture of Vietnamese Buddhism; cultural exchange of peoples around the world, especially countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
