The camp was organized by the Central Youth Union from September 27 to 30 at Ly Tu Trong Youth Union School (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City). The delegates were from 18 to 35 years old, representing many professions and fields. What they have in common is their passion, experience and skills in activities to improve foreign language skills and international integration; actively participating in Youth Union, association and social projects.
Desire to contribute
A notable highlight of the camp's opening ceremony was the talk show "Vietnamese Youth with International Integration". One of the special guests was Master Tran Tuan Dat (also known by the nickname Teacher Beo U40). He is a familiar bilingual lecturer and MC at major events as well as a content creator with a TikTok channel attracting more than 5.2 million followers.

Since his first trip abroad as a student of the Faculty of International Relations and a member of the CKT Performing Arts Team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU-HCM, Dat has traveled to 41 countries and territories. He is a delegate of the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) 2014 and has received a lecturer exchange scholarship in the US and a master's scholarship in Thailand and Korea. Dat said: "The important thing that helps me to be confident and constantly dream of conquering the world is the love and pride for my homeland and country". With a desire and willingness to spread the beautiful values of Vietnam, Dat sets a goal of persistently studying to enrich his knowledge and foreign language skills - indispensable luggage in the country's integration process.
Mr. Beo U40 - Master Tran Tuan Dat brings a lot of useful information to young people thanks to his rich experiences in many countries and territories.
The youngest speaker was Vo Lap Phuc (who won the January Star Award and twice received the title of Central-level 5-Good Student). Phuc was the valedictorian of both entrance and exit exams at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. The Gen Z guy feels lucky to grow up in a context where the country's potential, position, and international reputation are constantly improving.
According to Phuc, today's youth have many conditions to improve themselves. However, the context of deep globalization has created fierce competition. "The challenge for young people is to constantly determine personal values, constantly innovate, create, and expand knowledge to proactively adapt" - Phuc expressed. Phuc also believes that it is necessary to focus on internal strength. Internal strength here is the will and aspiration, ideals of life and dedication, qualifications, skills and thinking. It is internal strength that will help young people stand firm in the face of difficulties and gradually assert themselves.
Fly high, fly far
Dat said that many of his trips were free, thanks to knowing how to find and seize opportunities from scholarship programs, international youth exchanges, competitions... This is meaningful in encouraging young people to strive to improve their knowledge, invest in skills to "fly high, fly far".
He always learns carefully about the culture and people of the places he visits. Dat's preparations are extremely thorough; from material and spiritual gifts, to deep understanding of his country and other countries. Dat is aware of taking care of his health to ensure the complete meaning of the journey. Thanks to that, he can easily connect and build relationships, especially promoting the image of Vietnam to international friends.
The camp "Vietnamese Youth - Mastering Foreign Languages, Courageous Integration" is a prominent content in the programs that have been and are being implemented to specify the tasks and solutions in Decision 1477/QD-TTg dated November 25, 2022 of the Prime Minister on approving the program "Supporting the improvement of foreign language proficiency and international integration for Vietnamese youth in the period 2022 - 2030" and "Project to improve English proficiency for Vietnamese youth in the period 2018 - 2022".
