According to the report of the Cooperative Union, the whole province currently has 113 cooperatives operating under the new cooperative model according to the 2012 Law on Cooperatives, including 88 cooperatives operating in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fishery and salt production, 8 small-scale industrial cooperatives, 7 cooperatives operating in the field of transportation and 3 people's credit funds and 6 cooperatives in other service fields. With 18,930 members participating in the cooperative. In recent years, the activities of cooperatives have changed positively, affirming the position and role of cooperatives in the province's economy; the awareness of authorities at all levels about the role of new-style cooperatives has been raised; some cooperatives have benefited from support policies from the Central and local governments in post-harvest processing of agricultural products... Thereby, cooperatives have actively contributed to increasing income and creating jobs for members and workers. Some new-style cooperatives have produced and linked to product value chains associated with the OCOP program of key products of the province.
