Technical traffic opening of Nguyen Hoang bridge

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and leaders of the Central Committee and Hue City attended the opening ceremony.

This is one of the important activities in the series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hue City Liberation Day (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025) of the Hue City People's Committee.

Attending and cutting the ribbon to open Nguyen Hoang bridge to the Central side were: Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing member of the Secretariat; Vu Hong Thanh, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mai Van Chinh, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister; Tran Van Ron, Party Central Committee member, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee; Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, Party Central Committee member, Standing member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; representatives of the Central Organization Committee; Office of the Party Central Committee; Central Internal Affairs Committee; Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and leaders of the Central Committee and Hue City cut the ribbon to open the technical traffic.

On the side of Hue City leaders, there were Mr. and Mrs. Le Truong Luu, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hue City; Pham Duc Tien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee; Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Ai Van, member of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City; members of the City Party Committee, former leaders of Hue City through the periods.

The Nguyen Hoang Bridge project started on December 23, 2022, and the contracted construction schedule was 1,090 days. However, with the determination to complete the project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Hue City, after 814 days of construction, on March 26, 2025, the project was technically opened to traffic (almost 9 months ahead of schedule).

The completion of the Nguyen Hoang Street and Huong River Overpass project contributes to completing the main traffic network in the area; improving traffic capacity, preventing congestion and reducing traffic volume for National Highway 1A and inner-city routes through the center of Hue City. At the same time, it creates a driving force to promote socio-economic development, tourism services and improve people's lives; forming and developing satellite cities, new urban and residential areas; creating a premise to expand Hue's urban area in all directions; effectively exploiting the planned land fund on both sides of the project route, creating revenue for the local budget.
