The conference assessed that in May 2023, Party and political work activities in the entire army were deployed closely and comprehensively, completing all programs and plans, both regular and ad hoc, and many tasks were completed well.

Notably, political education, ideological leadership; information, propaganda, ideological orientation, public opinion on complex and sensitive issues. Advised on the implementation of the Project to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day. Directed and guided the effective implementation of Party building and personnel work; ensured absolute security and safety for the activities of Party, State and Army leaders; improved the quality of mass mobilization and policy work; activities of mass organizations were deployed synchronously, creatively, and had a wide spread; proactively carried out Party work and political work in the tasks...

The political and ideological situation of the entire army is stable; officers and soldiers have absolute confidence in the leadership of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense, and are ready to receive and successfully complete assigned tasks. The General Department of Politics continues to maintain stability, perform well its functions and tasks, and strictly comply with regulations.

Concluding the conference, Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet reviewed the outstanding results in Party and political activities in May, and emphasized a number of key tasks in June 2023.

Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet requested agencies and units in the General Department to direct, guide and organize the implementation of Party and political activities closely. The focus is to guide and direct the entire army to carry out well the work of political education, ideological leadership, and dissemination of laws; organize research and disseminate the results of the 13th Central Committee's mid-term conference for the subjects according to the plan; proactively propagate and orient public opinion on new issues related to the Army. Along with doing well the emulation and reward work, promptly deploy the plan to assign tasks to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day; propose activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory; promote activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Uncle Ho's Call for Patriotic Emulation.

The Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics noted the completion of the report on the implementation of the Party Charter in the Party Committee of the Army from 2011 to present; advising on the promulgation of the Central Military Commission's Regulations on the authority to enforce Party discipline and Army discipline of Party committees and Party organizations in the Vietnam People's Army. Implementing the Central Military Commission's resolution on the Regulations on leadership of personnel work; Regulations on taking votes of confidence for Party committee members, commanding and managing cadres at all levels in the Army; submitting to the Central Military Commission's Standing Committee personnel for the second quarter of 2023... Based on their functions and tasks, agencies and units proactively grasp the situation, do a good job of advising, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and efficiency.

At the conference, the organizing committee announced the decision to award Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense to Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, along with 6 groups and 33 individuals of the General Department of Politics; and announced the decision to award the title of Emulation Fighter of the Whole Army to 22 comrades of the General Department of Politics.
