In 2024, the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command closely coordinated with the Party Committees and authorities of 6 provinces in the area to focus on leading and directing the comprehensive completion of the set goals and tasks. Leaders thoroughly grasped and seriously and effectively implemented the resolutions, directives and regulations of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on military and defense tasks; agencies and units strictly maintained the combat readiness regime, promptly adjusted and supplemented the system of combat documents associated with the military posture planning in the defense area, closely coordinated with the forces to grasp the situation, flexibly handle situations, and avoid being passive or surprised. Military recruitment, force building, training, exercises, military and defense knowledge training, and defense diplomacy were improved. The Military Region has coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to focus on building the potential of the all-people national defense, the all-people national defense posture associated with the people's security posture, building increasingly solid provincial and district defense areas and the Military Region's defense. Directing forces to actively participate in preventing and overcoming the consequences of floods, landslides and participating in supporting forces to implement the 500KV power transmission line project, circuit 3, closely, promptly and absolutely safely.

In the coming time, the Party Committee of the Military Region determined: Continue to lead and direct the effective implementation of strategic programs and projects on military and national defense; focus on making the highest efforts to complete the goals and targets of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term; coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and forces to well perform military and national defense tasks, build a strong national defense, a solid defense zone associated with the goals of socio-economic development.
In 2025, we will successfully implement “One focus”, which is “Focusing on leading and directing the successful organization of Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Military Region’s Armed Forces Traditional Day. “Two breakthroughs”, which are the breakthrough in the quality of training and combat readiness, especially at the grassroots level, and the breakthrough in the role, responsibility, and exemplary vanguard role of cadres and party members”.

Strengthen training, strictly maintain the combat readiness regime. Proactively coordinate closely with the Public Security, Border Guard and units of the Ministry stationed in the area, prepare well plans, forces, and means, be ready to promptly and effectively respond to non-traditional security situations, natural disasters, and catastrophes, maintain political security, social order and safety. Regularly coordinate closely with Party committees and authorities of provinces and cities to build a solid defense area, suitable for the merger of a lean, strong information apparatus. Further strengthen political and ideological work for cadres and soldiers; build a contingent of cadres at all levels with full and profound awareness of the task of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.
