Training for 7,382 leaders, commanders and police officers
This morning (September 12), the People's Police University held the opening ceremony for the new school year 2024-2025. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Professor, Doctor, Major General Tran Thanh Hung, Principal of the school, said that the school has achieved many encouraging results in the 2023-2024 school year. Notably, the work of building forces and developing staff and lecturers. To date, the school has 6.43% of staff holding the title of professor or associate professor; 24.61% of staff holding a doctorate degree, 58.31% of staff holding a master's degree; 28.6% of staff holding a bachelor's degree in foreign languages.
The school has organized well the recruitment of all levels and types of training, safely, economically and effectively. Organized teaching and training of all levels and systems according to the targets, programs and plans for 16,376 university and post-graduate students; fostered and trained political, legal and professional knowledge, and trained intermediate political theory for 7,382 leaders, commanders, police officers of units, localities and officers and leaders of the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

In the new school year 2024-2025, Professor, Doctor, Major General Tran Thanh Hung said that the school has identified 9 key tasks. Representing more than 12,000 students of the whole school, student Nguyen Ngoc Linh Dang expressed: "We promise to strive, learn knowledge, cultivate morality, strictly implement the 6 teachings of President Ho Chi Minh to the People's Public Security; actively participate in the emulation movement 'Study well, practice well', participate in cultural - artistic - sports movements and volunteer activities to join hands for the community; keep the oath to forget ourselves for the country, serve the people, meet the requirements of building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern People's Public Security force".

In her speech, the female student of the People's Police University said: "Typhoon Yagi has made landfall and caused great damage to people and property in the northern provinces. There have also been examples of people's police officers sacrificing their lives while on duty. To share those losses and pains, we, the students of the People's Police University, would like to actively respond to the campaign launched by the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the school's Board of Directors to join hands and join efforts to support our compatriots who are suffering from natural disasters and floods."
