Two young women in Bac Lieu have volunteered to perform military service in 2025.
Along with nearly 1,300 young men in Bac Lieu province who meet the qualifications and health standards to join the army, in 2025 in Gia Rai town (Bac Lieu province), there are two "beautiful women" ready to become new recruits, with the desire to contribute to building and protecting the Fatherland.

After graduating from medical college, Do Nhu Y (living in Ward 1, Gia Rai town) boldly wrote an application to volunteer for military service.
Nhu Y shared: "My father is a soldier, so since I was little I have loved the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers. I want to be a soldier like my father. Although I know that the military environment is very disciplined and difficult, for me this is a condition to train myself and realize my dream of becoming a soldier."
As for Nguyen Thuy Trang (residing in Tan Thanh commune, Gia Rai town), her love for the military environment was formed since childhood. That love grew even stronger when 3 years ago, Trang's older brother volunteered to go to defend the Fatherland.
Graduated from university with a major in Finance and Banking, Thuy Trang has a stable job at Bac Lieu Military Hospital. However, to fulfill her dream of becoming a soldier, Thuy Trang temporarily put aside her personal work and volunteered to perform military service.
"When I was young, I really wanted to be a soldier because my second brother was also a soldier. I wanted to join the military and contribute a small part of myself to protect the country. That's what motivated me to volunteer for military service," Thuy Trang shared.

Mr. Do Minh Thang, Chairman of the Town People's Committee, Chairman of the Military Service Council of Gia Rai Town, said that each young woman carries with her faith, love and aspiration to contribute.
"In 2025, Gia Rai town will have two female volunteers joining the army. They both share the same wish to wear the green military uniform and spread the spirit of youth to carry out the sacred task of protecting the Fatherland. These slim girls will soon be strong, mature, and confident in performing their duties well in the military environment," Mr. Thang believes.
Also according to Mr. Thang, in 2025, Gia Rai town was assigned to select 210 citizens to join the army, of which 170 citizens performed military service (including two women) and 40 citizens participated in the People's Public Security service.
In 2025, Bac Lieu province was assigned the target of recruiting nearly 1,300 citizens to join the army and perform their duty in the People's Public Security (PPP).
100% of young people volunteered to join the army. Of these, 7 were party members, 2 were women, over 80% were between 18 and 21 years old; over 6% of the young people had university or college degrees.
