The movie Life is Still Beautiful is entering its final episodes with details related to the relationship between the sisters Luyen - Bat, Thach - Nga. Interestingly, Nga is the beloved daughter of Ms. Hoa while Thach is the son of Mr. Luu.

The wealth gap between the two families made Ms. Hoa unhappy with the relationship between Thach and Nga. She was even willing to insult Thach and his father, claiming that they were trying to "climb high" when approaching her daughter.

Actress Anh Tho in the role of Hoa.

The character of Ms. Hoa has always been loved by the audience since the beginning of the film. She is described as a wealthy fruit stall owner, willing to help Luyen and very sympathetic to the poor. However, now her attitude towards everyone in the market has completely changed. She even "plays dirty" by using her connections to make Mr. Luu lose the opportunity to make money.

The character Hoa’s sudden change and discriminatory mindset towards the rich and the poor made many viewers uncomfortable. On forums related to the film, many viewers left comments expressing their anger towards this character:

"Why did this woman change so quickly?", "At first I thought Ms. Hoa sympathized with the poor", "This character is just a market vendor but has an unacceptable attitude of looking down on the poor", "Why is Ms. Hoa so hateful at the end of the movie?"

The character Hoa strongly opposes the love affair between Nga and Thach.

Besides, some viewers think that because this character is worried that his daughter will suffer if she falls in love with someone too poor, he has such an attitude: "As a parent, everyone is worried about their children, no one wants to marry their child to a poor person", "Hoa did that because she is worried about her child", "This is the reality of life, people can be good to poor people but as long as that person does not love their children"...

In response to the audience's reaction, actress Anh Tho - who plays Ms. Hoa - shared with VTC News :

"When reading the script, every actor can anticipate how the audience will react to the film's developments. So I'm not surprised by the audience's "turnaround" for the character Hoa.

Personally, I feel it's normal that the audience is annoyed with my character in recent episodes. It's obvious, if you play a hateful character, you can't expect the audience to love you. The audience's reaction like that shows that I've done a good job with my role."

The actress also said that considering the overall script, the change of the character Hoa towards the poor in recent episodes is very logical:

"In fact, people are always like that, they will act emotionally and will reveal selfishness when things directly affect them. Hoa can be good to everyone, tolerant and sociable with the poor workers in the market neighborhood if those people have not touched her daughter.

I think any mother in real life in that situation would react, but of course everyone's reaction would be different. I let my character react so strongly and negatively because Hoa is a trader after all, she would react in her own "character".

Not surprised by the audience's reaction to her role, actress Anh Tho was very pleased to receive comments about her role:

"It's not surprising at all because I knew the audience would definitely react like that. I feel like the audience is very cute because they have to watch the movie and be absorbed in the plot to be able to react like that."

"Each artist needs to know how to balance his emotions."

Anh Tho said she always keeps a calm attitude towards the audience's reactions to her role:

"Honestly, I rarely use social media, so I don't read many comments from the audience. But even if I do read them, I won't be upset or surprised. As an artist, I need to distinguish which audience opinions are correct and which are incorrect, and which I can hear and which I can't hear.

Each artist needs to know how to balance their emotions, not being too happy or too sad in response to comments or praise or criticism from the audience.
