Indonesia will host Bahrain at home at 8:45 p.m. tonight (March 25) in the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia.
This match gives Coach Kluivert the opportunity to get his first win as head coach of the “archipelago country”. Currently, Indonesia is ranked 4th in Group C with 6 points, equal to Bahrain.
Previously, in his debut match, the Dutch coach suffered a 1-5 defeat against the Australian team.
Speaking ahead of the crucial clash with Bahrain, Patrick Kluivert said the team was ready to fight. "We have prepared very carefully for the match. All the players are healthy and Indonesia is looking forward to the match."
He is confident that his team can beat their opponents. "We are confident that we can achieve good results. The spirit and determination of the whole team is very high."
With the home crowd in full swing at Gelora Bung Karno, coach Kluivert believes the support of the fans will be key to helping the team reach victory.

"We felt the terrible atmosphere when playing against Australia. The fans are amazing, they always support the players and bring extraordinary motivation. They are really important in motivating the Indonesian team to fight with all their might," he affirmed.
In addition, the Dutch strategist still hopes to finish second in the rankings to be able to advance straight to the 2026 World Cup. Currently, they are 4 points behind the second-placed team, Australia.
However, with three matches remaining, he stressed that anything can still happen in football. "Anything can still happen. The spirit of the Indonesian players and coaching staff is very high. Our goal is to win all the matches," said coach Patrick Kluivert.
To be able to take second place, Indonesia must win all remaining matches, including matches against Bahrain, China and Japan.
