On the afternoon of July 31, as part of a busy schedule of his State visit to India, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation visited and laid flowers at the bronze statue of President Ho Chi Minh located at G20 Park, New Delhi.

Respectfully commemorating President Ho Chi Minh, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and delegates vowed to make efforts and continue to bring the Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to greater depth, substance and effectiveness. This visit to India also aims to deepen the good traditional relationship between the two nations that has gone through a long history of more than 2,000 years, built and nurtured by two great leaders, President Ho Chi Minh and Mahatma Gandhi.

Talking to the author of the bronze statue of Uncle Ho - Indian artisan Ram Sutar, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared: "The statue is very soulful and very similar to our beloved Uncle Ho. He devoted his whole life to the revolutionary cause of our country". The head of the Vietnamese Government also emphasized that the statue is a testament to the deep relationship between the two nations, nurtured by many generations of leaders. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to artisan Ram Sutar for devoting much effort and dedication to creating this meaningful statue of Uncle Ho. The bronze statue of President Ho Chi Minh is a permanent work located in G20 Park, located in the middle of the Diplomatic Corps area, the center of the capital New Delhi. The bronze statue was designed, made and completed by Indian artisan Ram Sutar based on comments from the Art Appraisal Council. Indigenous elements are harmoniously combined in the design, creating a beautiful, lively, close and simple work of art.

Along with placing a bronze statue of President Ho Chi Minh in the center of the capital New Delhi, India is the first country to have a street named after Ho Chi Minh. This shows the special affection of the State and people of India for President Ho Chi Minh and the country of Vietnam. Yesterday, as soon as he got off the plane, the Indian country gave the Prime Minister a warm and friendly welcome through very impressive traditional dances. Tomorrow morning, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the State-level welcoming ceremony for Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is one of the first foreign leaders invited to visit India after the country elected the House of Representatives and had a new Government. This is also the Prime Minister's first visit after the two sides established a new framework of relations - Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2016.
