Thuan Phuoc New Urban Area Project in Son Tra District is invested by Thuan Phuoc Bay Urban Investment Joint Stock Company. This company was established in 2009, located in Thach Thang Ward (Hai Chau District, Da Nang).
According to information from Thuan Phuoc Bay Urban Investment Joint Stock Company, in 2010, the project of Urban, Commercial and Tourism Area in the North of Man Quang Bay was approved by Da Nang city for detailed construction master plan.

In 2017, the People's Committee of Da Nang city approved the general plan to adjust the detailed construction planning, accordingly changing the project name to Thuan Phuoc - Da Nang New Urban Area.

The project covers an area of over 97 hectares in Nai Hien Dong ward and Tho Quang ward (Son Tra district) including about 1,880 townhouses, about 212 villas, 2 apartment buildings with a maximum construction height of 29 floors above ground and 5 basements.
In addition, the project also includes a 6-star luxury hotel and 5 high-rise commercial service complexes.
The total investment capital of the project is nearly 11,500 billion VND, of which the investor's contributed capital is 1,800 billion VND, and capital mobilized from credit institutions is nearly 9,700 billion VND.
Recently, voters in Son Tra district reported that this project was allocated land a long time ago but investment was slow, causing waste of land resources and creating black spots in terms of security, order, and environmental sanitation.
According to Dan Tri reporters, the project site is currently under construction and the entrance is always closed. Outside the project, some sections are fenced and guarded. Due to being abandoned for many years, the area is overgrown with grass, and some areas have become dumping grounds.
Responding to the above comments, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Da Nang said that Thuan Phuoc Bay Urban Investment Joint Stock Company is in the process of completing legal procedures for the project to start construction in the fourth quarter of this year.

According to the investor's report, the project implementation progress includes 2 phases. Phase 1 is from the fourth quarter of this year to the first quarter of 2026, the company will complete legal procedures to implement the construction and implementation of the embankment project to respond to climate change.
Phase 2 is from the first quarter of 2028 to the fourth quarter of 2030, the company will deploy technical infrastructure (urban areas), villas, townhouses, thematic parks, high-rise residential areas, commercial service buildings and hotels.
It is known that recently, Thuan Phuoc Bay Urban Investment Joint Stock Company has had an environmental impact assessment report on the project. In the report, there are many commitments of the investor on environmental protection when implementing the project.
The investor also committed that if there is a landslide during the project implementation, negatively affecting the quality of seawater and the marine ecosystem of Thuan Phuoc Bay, the construction will be temporarily suspended and the local authorities will be immediately reported for inspection...
