(NLDO) - The efforts of teachers and students of Vietnam College of Medical Technology and Pharmacy are highly appreciated by leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training.
On March 8, in Da Nang City, Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its founding and a graduation ceremony for full-time students of the 17th course.
On behalf of the school's leadership, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Chairman of the Council of Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology, said that in 2018, Duc Tri Private College officially changed its name to Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology, according to the decision of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
After 20 years of establishment and development, Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology has gradually affirmed itself and gained recognition from society and the business community. Up to now, the school has 6 training facilities in Da Nang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Gia Lai and Dak Lak.
Mr. Le Tan Dung, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, congratulated the school on its achievements.
In his congratulatory speech, Mr. Le Tan Dung - Deputy Minister of Education and Training highly appreciated the results that teachers and students of Vietnam College of Medical Technology and Pharmacy have achieved over the past 20 years.
The Deputy Minister of Education and Training said that over the past time, Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology has continuously expanded its scale and improved the quality of training to become one of the prestigious vocational training institutions, contributing to the development of the medical career and community health care, especially in Da Nang City.
Over the past 20 years, the school has trained more than 11,000 full-time students and tens of thousands of students in short-term training courses. Graduates have a high employment rate, many of whom have become key officials and business owners nationwide. In addition, the school has established cooperative relationships with partners in 11 countries and territories...
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee, said that the city will create all conditions to support teaching and vocational education development in the area.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee, the city has issued a plan to implement the Vocational Education Development Strategy in Da Nang until 2030, with a vision to 2045. Thereby, it aims to rapidly develop vocational education to meet the diverse needs of the labor market, the people and the increasing demand for quantity, structure and quality of skilled human resources for the city's development in each period.
The plan sets basic goals by 2030, focusing on improving the quality and effectiveness of vocational education to meet the demand for human resources with national vocational skills; having modern industry; proactively participating in the national human resource training market; in which some occupations approach the level of ASEAN-4 countries; contributing to increasing the rate of trained workers with degrees and certificates to 64%.
"In the coming time, there needs to be closer coordination between schools and hospitals, medical facilities, and businesses; develop training programs that are appropriate and close to practical needs, and improve training quality to supply the labor market. Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of human resources, especially human resources in the health sector of Da Nang in particular and the whole country in general" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized.
