Awareness of the issue of “human rights” and the work of protecting and fighting for human rights among a number of cadres and party members of departments and localities is still low. Coordination and information exchange between agencies, departments and organizations is sometimes not timely and consistent.

Propaganda about achievements in ensuring human rights is still limited and irregular, the content of propaganda is not deep and has no specific orientation; the work of directing, managing information, fighting and refuting wrong and hostile arguments and viewpoints is sometimes passive.

Therefore, the Head of the Steering Committee on Human Rights of Hau Giang province hopes that this Human Rights Training Conference will help delegates and trainees to grasp and disseminate some basic contents about the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws on human rights protection; the plots, methods and tricks of hostile forces taking advantage of human rights issues to sabotage Vietnam; and equip them with necessary knowledge for sectors and levels to apply in practical work.
