Two bilingual schools in Ho Chi Minh City receive French education quality accreditation

On December 13, Mr. Olivier Brochet, French Ambassador to Vietnam, awarded the Label FrancEducation educational quality accreditation badge recognized by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Europe to two bilingual schools in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Europe awarded the Label FrancEducation educational quality accreditation title to two schools teaching French bilingual programs: Luong Dinh Cua Primary School and Colette Secondary School (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City).

The FrancEducation Label is a prestigious title awarded after evaluating the quality of French language teaching at the school. The title not only recognizes the continuous efforts of the two schools but also affirms the quality of the French bilingual teaching program at schools in particular and in Ho Chi Minh City in general as well as the commitment of the school and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training in promoting French language and culture in high schools.

Thus, up to now, Ho Chi Minh City has 4 schools honored to be recognized with the FrancEducation Label title, including: Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (District 5); Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (District 3); Luong Dinh Cua Primary School and Colette Secondary School (District 3). Worldwide, there are more than 600 schools that have been awarded this title. Of which, Vietnam has 21 schools.

Luong Dinh Cua Primary School is the first educational institution in Ho Chi Minh City to implement a French bilingual program since 1994. Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Principal of the school, shared: "Achieving the Label FrancEducation quality accreditation title affirms the school's efforts in teaching and learning for the French bilingual program, creating more trust from parents in the school, and motivating the school staff to make more efforts...".

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Olivier Brochet, French Ambassador to Vietnam, emphasized that the FrancEducation Label is a very special and valuable brand of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Europe, the French Ministry of Education and Training, and affirms the quality of education of the school in the French education system. The accreditation first of all affirms the quality of education of the school, the recognition for the efforts of the school's teaching staff and students studying French.

According to Mr. Pham Quang Tam, Deputy Head of Secondary Education Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the city currently has more than 3,000 students from primary to high school studying the enhanced French program. Achieving the FrancEducation Label educational quality accreditation title, in addition to affirming the quality of French bilingual education, also opens up opportunities for cooperation, promotion, and further improvement of access to French for students and teachers in the city, and career opportunities; especially in the context of the city's education sector promoting deep international integration and training high-quality human resources as it is today.
