Hai Phong: Promoting the development of railway tourism

Vietnam Railways Corporation plans to put 20 new carriages into operation on the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway line. The carriages are designed in a modern style, have luxurious interiors and are named the "Hoa Phuong Do" train. The opening date of this tourism product is expected before May 13, 2025 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong City Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025).

According to Vietnam Railways Corporation, the expected color, lines and design of the "Red Flamboyant" train will combine modern lines and traditional Asian colors, with the green of the phoenix leaves, the red of the phoenix flowers, the blue of the sea and parallel lines illustrating the ocean waves as well as the seaport city.

Among the 20 newly invested carriages, there will be 2 VIP carriages with a 36-seat compartment design including 16 single sofas, 5 long sofas with 20 seats arranged in three different spaces. The VIP carriage will be designed in a luxurious space of French aristocratic interior architecture, with performing musicians and a bar. The remaining 18 carriages will be designed with 56 swivel seats, plastic carpet floors, decorative floral fabric ceilings and 2 rows of LED lights installed along the walkways, with LCD screens and LED advertising frames... This new train is expected to become an attractive rail tourism product and enhance the experience for visitors.

In particular, next May, Hai Phong will also organize the "Hai Phong Food Festival" in 2025, scheduled to take place from May 9, 2025 to May 14, 2025 at Hai Phong Station. The event will feature more than 40 food stalls, Hai Phong delicacies, local specialties in the city and tourist gifts, along with many exciting street music performances.

With advantages in geographical location, developed transport infrastructure, long-standing cultural values ​​and unique natural destinations, Hai Phong is increasingly affirming its position on the national and international tourism map.

Supporting and developing the "Hoa Phuong Do" train product and organizing the "Delicious Food Festival" at Hai Phong Station aims to develop Hai Phong railway tourism and build Hai Phong Station into a tourist destination and to respond to the Hoa Phuong Do Festival - Hai Phong 2025, celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day.
