Regional Tax Department I guides and accompanies in implementing tax settlement in 2024

Talking to the business community, taxpayers and delegates following the Conference, Head of the Tax Department of Region I Vu Manh Cuong shared: The Hanoi City Tax Department and the Hoa Binh Provincial Tax Department (before the reorganization) have been extremely urgent and serious in implementing in accordance with the direction of the Central Government, the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Department to complete the work of streamlining the apparatus towards effectiveness and efficiency.

Up to now, the Tax Department of Region I has basically completed the restructuring of the apparatus. During the restructuring period, it has proactively increased resources to promptly resolve and handle tax administrative work and records, recommendations and reflections of taxpayers' problems, not to create time gaps that affect the implementation of tax obligations of citizens and businesses.

Mr. Vu Manh Cuong also said: “Every March, is the peak period for organizations and individuals to prepare documents and make final settlements of corporate income tax and personal income tax... Although the current workload of tax agencies after restructuring and streamlining the apparatus is very large, with the efforts of the entire team of civil servants and employees in all departments, with the priority given to taxpayers, putting the role of supporting taxpayers above all, with the goal of promptly implementing support solutions, creating favorable conditions for taxpayers to properly implement tax policies and laws, the Tax Department of Region I has implemented the "Month of accompanying businesses, organizations and individuals to make tax finalization in 2024", simultaneously for the business community and taxpayers in both Hanoi and Hoa Binh provinces from March 17, 2025 to May 5, 2024".

At the Conference, Vice President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Hoang Quang Phong highly appreciated the efforts in the recent period of the Tax sector in general and of the Tax Department of Region I in particular in accompanying and supporting to create maximum conditions for the business community and taxpayers.

"This conference is an opportunity for the Tax Authority to detect problems early and remotely to support businesses and taxpayers in timely supplementation and correction. Regular and smooth interactions between the management agency and the managed unit help create mutual trust, so the current online conference model needs to be continued to be replicated," said Mr. Phong.

Sharing the same view with Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, President of Vietnam Tax Consulting Association Nguyen Thi Cuc assessed that through many online dialogue conferences, this is truly an important and highly effective support channel that is followed by a large number of businesses and the tax community. It can be said that the business community and taxpayers managed by the Tax Department of Region I have good compliance and coordination, which can come from the propaganda and support work of the Tax authority that is being carried out very well.

"The Tax Authority has truly understood the concerns of the business community, diversifying support forms so that a large number of taxpayers can quickly access tax policies, such as through virtual assistant applications that quickly answer taxpayers' questions or online dialogues with the Tax Authority as at this Conference," Ms. Cuc shared.

After the program, taxpayers can still access the Tax Department's website at: http://hanoi.gdt.gov.vn, ask questions to receive support from the Tax Department to resolve issues within its jurisdiction. For issues beyond the jurisdiction of the Tax Department, the Tax Department will summarize and report to the competent authority for timely resolution.

“Currently, the Tax Department of Region I continues to reform administrative procedures associated with promoting digital transformation through online dialogue. The Tax Department will grasp the difficulties of taxpayers to promptly answer and remove difficulties, realizing the goal of accompanying the Tax Department to facilitate businesses in production and business”, Deputy Head of the Tax Department of Region I Tran Quang Hung answered an interview revolving around the Conference.
