Hiep Hoa won the 2025 Bac Giang Provincial National Wrestling and Freestyle Wrestling Championship - News details

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just coordinated with the People's Committee of Hiep Hoa district to organize the 2025 Bac Giang Provincial National Wrestling and Freestyle Wrestling Championship.

Nearly 100 athletes from 10 districts, cities and towns in the province participated. The athletes competed in the youth tournament with weight categories of 38 - 63kg; the youth tournament from 16-17 years old including weight categories from 50-70kg; the national championship in weight categories from 51kg -78kg; women's freestyle wrestling from 46-63kg; men's freestyle wrestling from 50-74kg.

A match at the tournament

The tournament is organized to promote the stronger development of the wrestling training movement in the whole province. Through the tournament, it aims to discover and select elite athletes, supplement the provincial team's athlete force, train and participate in regional and national sports competitions in 2025. It is also an opportunity for sports delegations and athletes in the whole province to increase exchanges and learn from experiences in the field of sports in general and wrestling in particular.

The Organizing Committee awarded the flag to the 3 excellent competing units at the tournament.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second and third prizes in each category and weight class to the outstanding athletes. As a result, Hiep Hoa team won first prize overall, second prize went to Bac Giang city, and third prize went to Tan Yen district./.
