(Dan Tri) - 96 valedictorians from universities and academies in Hanoi were awarded on the 69th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
The program to honor outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in Hanoi in 2023 was held at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam on the evening of October 10, on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.

The 96 valedictorians honored by Hanoi this year come from many different fields, including: 16 valedictorians from engineering, 33 valedictorians from management - culture - society, 22 valedictorians from economics, 7 valedictorians from pedagogy, 5 valedictorians from medicine - pharmacy and 13 valedictorians from the armed forces.
Of these, 85 valedictorians graduated from public schools and 11 valedictorians graduated from private schools.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized the role of outstanding students in the country.
"You are a potential source of young cadres for the capital and the country, the pride of your parents, teachers, schools and hometowns.
At the same time, they are typical examples of a generation of young intellectuals who are enthusiastic, dynamic, creative, actively study, conduct scientific research, participate in community activities, and are passionate about starting a business and establishing a career," said Mr. Tran Sy Thanh.

In response to the award and expectations from the city and the country, Tran Thi Thu Hien, valedictorian of Foreign Trade University in 2023, representing more than 90 valedictorians from universities and academies in Hanoi, sent her thanks to the leaders of the Party, State, City, teachers and parents for creating conditions for students to study in the best environment.
In addition, the female valedictorian also called on the remaining 90 valedictorians to make more efforts to study and practice in the future, especially in the context of deep international integration and the scientific and technological revolution and digital transformation taking place globally.
"Each valedictorian in particular and students of the capital in general need to demonstrate their will, talent, dedication of youth, and unceasing creativity to contribute to realizing the Party's goals by 2030 and vision by 2045, worthy of the central position of youth in many important issues of the capital and the country," the female valedictorian said.

The ceremony to honor outstanding graduates of universities and academies in Hanoi is an activity demonstrating the regular and deep concern of Hanoi for the cause of education, training and nurturing the young generation; at the same time, it is a recognition and praise for the learning and training results and the spirit of advancement of the capital's students.
The program has now entered its 21st year and has honored more than 2,000 valedictorians, many of whom have had successful initial careers.
