Designer dress goes viral because it's made from... discarded things

(Dan Tri) - Not made of fabric, this design is made from the cores of old makeup boxes, mirrors and powder puffs.

Recently, the Givenchy brand introduced its Fall - Winter 2025 collection, within the framework of Paris Fashion Week, France.

Of the 52 designs, one dress uses no fabric or intricate stitching. Instead, the dress is made from worn-out makeup boxes, with hand-embroidered powder puffs, powder boxes, and mirrors.

The dress has a low-cut neckline and a thigh-high skirt to help the wearer show off her figure. The powder box, powder puff, and colorful mirrors are attached to the dress, creating a unique look.

On the catwalk, the model wearing this dress wore pearl chandelier earrings, carried a handbag with a similar design to the dress, and wore nude-toned, closed-toe high heels.

This is designer Sarah Burton's first collection for Givenchy, since she was appointed creative director last September.

Renowned for his tailoring and shape creation techniques, Burton brings viewers back to the basics of fashion through his collection: creating new shapes and forms through draping and pattern design.

Sarah Burton spent 26 years at Alexander McQueen, 13 of them as creative director. Burton was instrumental in leading the brand and continuing its legacy after the sudden death of its founder, Lee Alexander McQueen, in 2010.
