(kontumtv.vn) – According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2025 university and college admission regulations that are about to be issued are expected to have 7 important new points.

Firstly, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has removed the regulation on early admission (no more early admission). Schools can conduct direct admission according to the regulations of the MOET to select candidates with outstanding abilities and talents. The remaining candidates will participate in the general admission round according to the general plan of the ministry.

Second, schools that use high school academic results (report cards) for admission must use the results of the entire 12th grade year (in previous years, many schools only used the results of 5 semesters at high school level, not counting the second semester score of 12th grade).

Third, schools have a plan to convert admission scores to ensure fairness and transparency between different admission methods. Ensure the selection of candidates most suitable for the desired program and major of the school.

Fourth, remove the requirement that each major and each program have a maximum of 4 admission combinations, and do not limit the maximum number of admission combinations for a specific major or program.

Fifth, the regulation stipulates that the priority bonus points of each candidate shall not exceed 10% of the maximum score (this bonus point is after adding regional priority points and subject priority points). At the same time, the total consideration score of the candidate shall not exceed the maximum score.

Sixth, considering foreign language certificates, the certificate results according to the list of high school graduation exam regulations can be converted into foreign language scores for admission consideration.

Seventh, training sectors in the health and pedagogy sectors still apply regulations on input quality assurance thresholds as the admission regulations applicable for 2024.

Candidates should also note that regarding the admission method, for individual exams, candidates must still register for the exam according to the regulations of the exam organizing units to get the results of the admission registration. For admission based on transcripts, the results of the entire 12th grade year must be used (in previous years, many schools only considered 5 semesters at the high school level, not counting the second semester score of grade 12). Based on the candidates' admission registration information, schools will download data from the system to consider admission, determining the admission standard score of each method. Then, the admission results will be returned to the ministry's general system for virtual filtering.
