The 2023/2024 season was an unsuccessful season for Hanoi FC. This team has had constant changes in personnel as well as on the coaching bench. They had to watch CAHN and Nam Dinh win the championship in the last two V-League seasons.
At the National Cup, Hanoi FC reached the final of the 2023/2024 season, but due to bad luck, the Hang Day home team lost the championship to Thanh Hoa.
After two empty-handed seasons, Hanoi FC is determined to make a comeback this season. Coach Le Duc Tuan's team has replaced all foreign players, promoted young players, and recruited some domestic players to fill key positions to thicken the squad.

Second, Hanoi FC has not had many personnel changes. They are led by coach Le Duc Tuan, who understands the team very well, so it will not take time to assemble the squad like teams that add many new personnel in the summer of 2024.
The most worrying issue for Hanoi FC is probably foreign players. In recent years, Hanoi FC's foreign players have not performed well. Even Hanoi FC's domestic strikers such as Tuan Hai and Van Quyet have to "carry" foreign players in scoring goals.
Because foreign players are poor scorers, Hanoi FC always falls in 6-point matches or when facing opponents with good foreign players. Hanoi FC's total loss to Nam Dinh and Binh Dinh in V-League 2023/2024 is the clearest proof.
Another issue that coach Le Duc Tuan must improve for Hanoi FC is the defense. Although being the top team in V-League, in the last 2 seasons, Hanoi FC's defense has not played well.
In V-League 2023, Hanoi FC conceded 22 goals/20 matches. This number in the 2023/2024 season increased to 37 goals/26 matches. It is not too much to say that Hanoi FC's empty-handedness in the last two seasons is partly due to the weakness of the defense.
The 2024/2025 season is predicted to be a very difficult season for Hanoi FC because opponents such as Nam Dinh, CAHN, The Cong Viettel and Binh Duong all have ambitions to compete for the championship and in fact these teams have recruited foreign and domestic players very loudly in the summer of 2024.
However, as analyzed above, Hanoi FC still has its own advantages, when only focusing on playing in the domestic league. If coach Le Duc Tuan solves the remaining problems in the last 2 seasons, Hanoi FC can completely win at least 1 title in the 2024/2025 season.
