Hanoi spends 567 billion VND to give gifts to the elderly and meritorious people on the occasion of Tet 2025

(Dan Tri) - More than 567.6 billion VND donated more than 1.1 million gifts to policy beneficiaries, meritorious people... on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025.

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a plan on giving gifts to policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, the elderly... on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

The total number of gifts is expected to be more than 1.1 million with a total estimated cost of more than 567 billion VND.

Hanoi assigned the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities, and heads of relevant units to base on donation sources and other appropriate mobilized sources to decide on subsidy levels, gift levels, and organize hardship subsidies for beneficiaries on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Hanoi requires units to mobilize maximum social resources in many diverse and effective forms to provide better care for people in difficult circumstances, ensuring that everyone has a Tet holiday.

Departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front Committee and city organizations, People's Committees of districts, towns focus on leading and directing the organization of visits and gift giving to ensure compliance with policies, right subjects, publicity and democracy.

Relevant units were also assigned to advise and propose city leaders to visit and present gifts to the Representative Board of Revolutionary Soldiers imprisoned and exiled by the enemy in Hanoi, the Nursing Area for Cadres in Dai Lai, the Nursing and Care Center for Meritorious People No. 2 in Hanoi, the Care Center for the Disabled in Hanoi, etc.
