Hanoi commits to creating the most favorable investment environment for Tatarstan businesses

Kinhtedothi - On the morning of March 21, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen chaired the Business Meeting Program between the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and Hanoi. The event is expected to open up opportunities for connection and close and effective cooperation between agencies and businesses of the two sides.

The business meeting between the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and Hanoi City was attended by Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan; Gennady Bezdetko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam, Deputy Prime Ministers and representatives of a number of leading businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Commitment to Tatarstan's business

Speaking at the meeting with businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan and Hanoi, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen emphasized that the friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation has been nurtured by many generations of leaders and people, is increasingly developing and is a valuable asset between the two nations.

Over the years, the political and diplomatic relations between the two countries have continued to be strengthened with high trust, and delegation exchanges have been actively implemented. Economic and trade cooperation has played an increasingly important role in bilateral relations.

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen believes that economic and trade cooperation between the two countries can be further promoted, commensurate with the good political relations, potential and desires of both sides. Sharing more about local-level cooperation, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen said that Hanoi currently has regular cooperation and exchange relations with Moscow and St. Petersburg through delegation exchanges, projects and cultural exchange events.

A New Beginning in Partnership

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome from Hanoi, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, said that Vietnam and the Russian Federation are long-standing partners in economic cooperation. Bilateral trade turnover has increased rapidly over the years.

Mr. Minnikhanov highly appreciated the dynamic development of Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general. In particular, through monitoring, the investment and business environment of Hanoi is also being improved, creating increasingly favorable conditions for enterprises.

The head of the Republic of Tatarstan expressed his desire to expand cooperation between businesses of both sides in the fields of petrochemicals, mechanics, textiles, and healthcare. At the same time, he proposed that the city research and open a direct flight from Hanoi to the Republic of Tatarstan to facilitate the development of economic sectors, including tourism.

At the meeting program between businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan and Hanoi, representatives of the Department of Finance, the Management Board of high-tech parks and industrial parks introduced the potential and opportunities for investment and business cooperation in Hanoi in priority areas such as high-tech development, promoting innovation activities, etc.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Kobchenko Oleg and Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan SEIvanov informed about the economic and trade potential and cooperation opportunities in the fields in which the Republic of Tatarstan has strengths, focusing on information technology, healthcare, communications, means of transport, industry, etc.

Through the discussion and exchange of representatives of leaders and agencies of Hanoi City and the Republic of Tatarstan, the two sides had an overall view and mutual understanding of the economic and trade situation; recognized the potentials and priority areas for attracting investment, and moved towards long-term cooperation agreements.

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen expressed his belief that the meeting was a new beginning for the partnership between the Republic of Tatarstan and Hanoi. At the same time, he hoped that the leaders of the Republic of Tatarstan would continue to pay attention, create favorable conditions and act as a bridge to strengthen cooperation between businesses of the two sides more and more effectively in the future.

 

Since 1986, Hanoi has attracted about 153.7 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) from the Russian Federation. In the first two months of 2025, there have been 2 rounds of capital contribution and purchase of shares in Vietnamese enterprises by Russian investors, with the capital contribution value reaching 0.17 million USD.
