The title of best coach of the 2022-2023 Premier League season was voted by the tournament organizers. Guardiola won the award after surpassing the remaining five nominees: Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton), Unai Emery (Aston Villa), Eddie Howe (Newcastle) and Marco Silva (Fulham)
Guardiola has received this honor for the fourth time, after the 2017-2018, 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 seasons. He is also the second coach in the history of the tournament to be voted the best coach of the season by the tournament organizers more than three times. The other person is Alex Ferguson, former coach of Man Utd, with 11 times.
The League Managers' Association (LMA) Manager of the Year award is voted for by managers from all four English professional football leagues. Guardiola won the LMA award for the third time in his career, after 2018 and 2021.
"I want to thank everyone who has been involved in helping me get this award," Guardiola said at the award ceremony on the evening of May 30, London time. "I am at an incredible club. Without the support I have received during my time here, this would not have been possible."

This season, Man City finished behind Arsenal for most of the Premier League race, but won the title with three games to spare. Guardiola's men finished five points ahead of the Gunners, winning 28 games and scoring 94 goals. This is the highest number of goals scored in Europe's top five leagues. Guardiola also won the Premier League for the fifth time in seven seasons in charge of Man City.
Man City still have a chance to win the treble this season. On June 3, Guardiola's team will meet Man Utd in the FA Cup final. A week later, they will meet Inter in the Champions League final.
Man City have never won the European Cup/Champions League. If they beat Inter, they will become the sixth English team to win the European Cup, after Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Nottingham and Aston Villa.
Before leading Man City, Guardiola won three La Liga titles, two Champions Leagues with Barca and three Bundesliga titles with Bayern. In 2009 and 2011, he was voted the best coach of the year by World Soccer magazine and the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.
