In recent years, in addition to efforts to restore, recreate cultural spaces and promote traditional cultures of ethnic minorities, Bac Tra My has promoted propaganda and raised awareness of cultural preservation in the ethnic minority community. On the basis of promoting cultural identity, the locality links the story of preservation with the orientation of tourism development.

To restore and recreate the cultural space of ethnic minorities, aiming to promote and stimulate tourism, every year, the People's Committee of Bac Tra My district develops a plan to organize cultural and artistic activities in accordance with the general orientation of the province and the actual situation in the locality.

Typical examples include the district's ethnic cultural festival, the Tra My Que festival, mass art performances, programs recreating the gong cultural space, especially the monthly cultural activities at the glass bridge culinary walking area of ​​Tra My town...

“We also focus on organizing famtrip programs to survey and evaluate potential cultural and tourist sites in the district and organize photo exhibitions, print and distribute handbooks and brochures to promote and introduce the natural and cultural beauty of Bac Tra My. Thereby, we aim to bring the cultural beauty of the locality closer to domestic and international tourists,” Ms. Hang shared.

According to Ms. Hang, in order to preserve and exploit cultural values ​​in a sustainable manner, promoting propaganda and raising awareness in ethnic minority communities is always of interest and focus to local Party committees and authorities.

Efforts from the grassroots have helped Bac Tra My form 12 gong clubs at the village and commune levels; 8 gong clubs for students at schools...

In particular, the locality successfully organized the workshop "Cultural identity of ethnic minorities in Bac Tra My district - conservation and development work" as well as district-level cultural festivals.

“In recent years, we have exploited tourism in community cultural villages, successfully recreating many traditional rituals and ceremonies of ethnic minorities, attracting the attention and experience of tourists,” said Ms. Hang.
