Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee informed: Hung King's Commemoration Anniversary and Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty will take place from March 29 to April 7 (ie from March 1-10, At Ty year) in Viet Tri City, Hung Temple Historical Relic Site and localities at the provincial level.
The Hung Kings Commemoration and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty includes a ceremony and a festival. The ceremony is organized solemnly, respectfully, with a communal character, ensuring safety, civilization and economy.
The ceremony includes: The death anniversary of the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan, offering incense to commemorate the Mother Au Co on April 3 (ie March 6 of the lunar calendar); The death anniversary of the Hung Kings and offering flowers at the relief "Uncle Ho talking to cadres and soldiers of the Vanguard Army" on April 7 (ie March 10 of the lunar calendar); The incense offering ceremony to commemorate the Hung Kings of districts, towns and cities in the province from March 29 to April 2, 2025 (ie March 1 to 5 of the lunar calendar).
The festival activities are associated with cultural, sports and tourism events, forming a series of activities of the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land with 22 unique activities. These include the opening art program with the theme "Sacred Origin - Hung King Ancestral Land" taking place on the evening of March 1; Cultural camp and exhibition, product promotion and introduction; Banh Chung and Banh Giay wrapping and cooking contest; street folk culture performance in Viet Tri city. Along with that is the event "Colors of Ancestral Land Tourism"; Xoan singing performance in ancient villages; Hung Vuong Cup Volleyball Tournament for strong national teams; "Returning to the source" Marathon; Viet Tri Open Rowing Tournament and exhibition, cultural, artistic activities and many other programs... Thereby, creating attractiveness, competitiveness, attracting tourists, widely promoting the potential and strengths of cultural tourism resources, ensuring security and order, friendliness with people and tourists...
According to the People's Committee of Phu Tho province, the organization of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty aims to educate the tradition of patriotism, deep gratitude to the Hung Kings and ancestors who have contributed to building and defending the country; educate the traditional morality of "When drinking water, remember its source"... At the same time, strengthen propaganda and promotion of cultural heritage; organize cultural, sports and tourism activities associated with tourism development, meet the needs of experience and discovery of people and tourists; contribute to promoting local economic development.
* According to the Traffic Safety Committee of Phu Tho province, after the Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival, the number of people and vehicles participating in traffic increased, posing a potential risk of traffic accidents, especially in the area of Hung Temple and Au Co Temple, where many people and tourists came to worship and perform rituals.
To ensure traffic safety, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee has directed functional forces to increase patrols, control, and strictly handle violations, creating favorable conditions for people and tourists. Sectors and localities continue to implement plans to increase transport capacity; organize traffic, ensure safety of infrastructure, especially on routes that are both in operation and under construction... Traffic police continue to patrol, strictly control, and focus on handling violations that are the direct causes of traffic accidents and traffic jams.
According to the Provincial Traffic Police Department, the force is still on duty 24/7 on the routes to support and guide people during the process of traveling home to celebrate Tet and returning to work after Tet.
On most national highways and gateways to Viet Tri city and localities, traffic police are still effectively implementing traffic diversion plans to prevent congestion on key routes.
During the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday (from January 25 to February 2), traffic police in the whole province inspected, detected, and recorded 2,030 cases of violations of road traffic safety and order, imposed fines of over VND 2.5 billion, revoked driving licenses, certificates, and professional certificates of 19 cases, and temporarily detained 225 vehicles.
