Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards 2024 (VCA 2024), in addition to the 7 award categories announced from VCA 2023, in 2024 the organizing committee added an 8th category, the inspirational digital content creator award. This is a new award category to honor businesses/organizations/individuals who have made positive contributions to the field of digital content creation and received much love from the public, voted by the community through the Online Voting System on the official portal of the award.

The names of the award categories for digital content works/products this year have also been adjusted to clarify and expand the scope of products participating in the competition, including: Outstanding Video/Short Film; Outstanding Video/Advertising Film; Outstanding Digital Content Product in the Education Field; Category Group for Animation Films with Outstanding Animation Film, Outstanding Animation Script and Outstanding Animation IP.
The criteria for evaluating digital content products also focus on encouraging creativity and originality. For businesses/organizations/individuals to be honored, they need to demonstrate long-term vision and contributions to the development of culture, education, and building a civilized community through digital content products. And this year, the Organizing Committee also added 03 more judges and organized the judging via an online system.
Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association - Head of the Award Organizing Committee said: "VCA 2024 will continue to promote the development of the digital content industry, create inspiration to strongly develop the community of digital content creators, develop many Vietnamese digital content products to reach out to the world, contributing high values to Vietnam's digital economy".

Associate Professor Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu, Chairman of the Preliminary Council of the Award, said: “The Award will be an important boost not only for professionals but also for non-professionals to participate, which will bring richness with many good content products and is an opportunity for us to find more and more deserving winners.”
Also at the Announcement Ceremony, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, Chairwoman of the Award's Final Jury, said: “Our Council was very excited to witness truly high-quality applications in 2023. Coming to VCA 2024, we hope to continue to receive products with investment in content and valuable messages for society. In an era where digital content is increasingly popular, the position of the competition will continue to be affirmed even more firmly.”
The changes in the award structure and judging criteria are expected to further strengthen the mission of creating a healthy and progressive digital environment of VCA 2024 as well as the following years.
