Regarding ticket sales, during this holiday, Mien Tay bus station sells tickets on behalf of units from 5am to 9pm every day and 24/7 for transport units that sell tickets themselves. Passengers who want to buy tickets can contact the phone number or visit the website of Mien Tay bus station for detailed instructions;
In addition, transport units that sell branded tickets and other units plan to sell tickets in advance to passengers via the unit's hotline and website, after registering to declare holiday ticket prices.
Transport units declaring fare increases (if any) must send documents to the competent authorities in accordance with regulations and send fare declaration notices to Mien Tay bus station to post at ticket counters and sell tickets to passengers;
According to the representative of Mien Tay bus station, through the annual statistics of ticket prices on the occasion of Hung Kings' death anniversary, the units still keep the same ticket prices as usual; for the holidays of April 30 and May 1, the units declare specific price increases as follows: Routes in the provinces of the Mekong Delta: increase by no more than 40% compared to the normal ticket price, price increase period is 2 days;
As for contract vehicles, buses, and reinforcement vehicles, Mien Tay bus station will base on the ticket prices declared by transport units during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year to build the bus station's ticket price list for the above types of vehicles.
Meanwhile, a representative of the new Eastern Bus Station (Thu Duc City) said that on the occasion of Hung Kings' death anniversary, people are expected to have 3 consecutive days off (from April 5 to April 7). Due to the recent Lunar New Year holiday, the number of passengers traveling during this holiday is expected to increase slightly compared to normal days and will mainly focus on short tourist routes such as Da Lat, Mui Ne, Phan Thiet...
For the April 30-May 1 holiday, the new Eastern Bus Station is expected to serve more than 47,400 passengers in 6 days (from April 29 to May 4). The number of passengers increased slightly compared to the same period last year, mainly focusing on short routes (from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City).
The new Eastern Bus Station encourages transport units not to increase fares during the April 30 - May 1 holiday. In case of being forced to adjust fares (to compensate for the cost of turning around for the opposite direction with no passengers), transport units will increase by no more than 40% compared to normal days for routes from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, routes in the Central Highlands, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and the Western region. Particularly, routes from Hue to the northern provinces will not increase compared to normal days.
Transport units need to submit fare increase declaration documents to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport for approval and must post fares according to regulations.
