Da Nang City has just decided to invest in building more schools to reduce the pressure on classrooms, helping teachers and students teach and learn in secure and spacious facilities.

New school, less pressure on student numbers

Sharing with Tien Phong, a representative of Bui Thi Xuan Primary School (Lien Chieu District) said that the school currently has 37 classrooms, some with nearly 50 students, and the school also has no functional classrooms. This situation has been going on for many years, but the school's area is limited so it is not possible to build more classrooms.

Many classes have nearly 50 students.

According to the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District, the district has a large concentration of workers from other localities, with many mechanical population fluctuations. The system of primary and secondary schools in the wards has not met the needs of learners due to the annual increase in the number of students, especially in Hoa Khanh Bac and Hoa Minh wards.

Faced with this reality, the People's Committee of Da Nang City has decided on the investment policy for the Bui Thi Xuan Primary School project, campus 2, at 60 Dao Su Tich Street (Hoa Minh Ward) with a total investment of more than 44 billion VND. The project includes a 4-storey block of classrooms and a principal's office with 16 classrooms, 5 subject classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, a kitchen, a storage room... In addition, there is also a flag-raising yard, a parking lot...

“When the school is in operation, a portion of the current students at Bui Thi Xuan Primary School will be transferred there, thereby reducing the pressure on class size, ensuring 35 students per class. In addition, the second facility will also reduce the load on Hong Quang Primary School,” the school’s leaders acknowledged.

New, green schools help students love and be more interested in learning.

The city also approved the investment policy for the Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School Project (campus 2) at 27 Hoang Van Thai Street (Hoa Minh Ward) with a total investment of more than 35.3 billion VND. A new 4-storey block of classrooms and administrative offices will be built here, with a construction area of about 900m2. The facilities will include 8 classrooms, 3 classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, administrative and functional rooms, restrooms and corridor systems, stairs, etc. When completed and put into use, this facility will reduce the load on the current main campus of Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School and the neighboring Ngo Thi Nham Secondary School, meeting the material facilities and serving the needs of students in Hoa Minh Ward and Hoa Khanh Nam Ward.

Beautiful school, more interest in learning

Over the past years, Da Nang has invested in building and renovating schools not only to ensure facilities and serve teaching well, but also to focus on architecture and landscape to give schools a beautiful coat. Walking around the city, you can see schools that are as luxurious as hotels, such as Tran Hung Dao Secondary School, Trung Vuong Secondary School, Tay Son Secondary School, Ly Tu Trong Primary School, etc. Ms. Vo Minh Phuong, Principal of Tran Hung Dao Secondary School (Hai Chau District) said that the school is over 50 years old, old and has many shortcomings. Since the new construction of the corridor connecting the blocks of buildings covered with trees and the "chill" library like a coffee shop, the school has suddenly become younger. "Not only are students interested and love the school, but parents are also amazed and reassured when letting their children study in a place that is both cool and comfortable," she said.

Recently, the city has decided to invest 30 billion VND to build and upgrade Ham Nghi Primary School (Thanh Khe District). In addition to building a new 4-storey classroom block, the 3-storey block facing the West will also have its facade renovated, railings replaced, sunshade panels installed, toilets upgraded, stairs renovated and functional areas for teaching renewed. In addition, the project also invests in a schoolyard system, trees, drainage, lighting, and fire prevention and fighting system to ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment.

A representative of Bui Thi Xuan Primary School expressed that when looking at the design, in addition to being spacious and airy, the new facility also focuses on aesthetics, adding more green areas to make the school both beautiful and environmentally friendly. The school leaders believe that from a beautiful school and beautiful classrooms, students will love their learning environment and have more motivation to strive.
