The central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the USD today (November 6) was announced by the State Bank at 24,258 VND/USD, an increase of 10 VND compared to yesterday's listed rate.

Applying a 5% margin, commercial banks are allowed to trade today at a ceiling rate of VND25,470/USD and a floor rate of VND23,045/USD.

The reference USD buying and selling exchange rate is maintained by the State Bank of Vietnam at the range of 23,400-25,450 VND/USD.

At the banking channel, the USD price today was adjusted up in both buying and selling directions.

Today, the USD selling price at commercial banks increased by 10 VND compared to yesterday's listed price and was listed at the ceiling price of 25,470 VND/USD.

The USD buying price at all banks has been adjusted up, with an increase of 19-67 VND.

At the beginning of the trading session on November 6, Vietcombank raised the USD cash buying price to 25,140 VND/USD, an increase of 50 VND compared to the beginning of the trading session yesterday (November 5).

Similarly, early this morning, BIDV also increased the greenback price by 19 VND, bringing the USD buying price to 25,170 VND/USD.

VietinBank also raised the USD buying price to 25,218 VND/USD, an increase of 67 VND.

In the private banking sector, Techcombank increased the USD buying price by 45 VND compared to early this morning, to 25,207 VND/USD.

Sacombank raised the USD buying price to 25,170 VND/USD, up 50 VND compared to early this morning.

ACB also increased the USD cash buying price to 25,180 VND/USD, 60 VND higher than yesterday's opening price.

Eximbank adjusted the USD cash buying price up to 25,170 VND/USD, 60 VND more expensive than yesterday morning.

Meanwhile, in the free market, the USD price fluctuated little. This morning, foreign exchange points in the free market bought and sold USD at a common price of 25,780-25,880 VND/USD, unchanged from the previous session.

In the world market, the USD price increased sharply as Mr. Donald Trump is temporarily leading in the US presidential election.

The US Dollar Index (measuring the greenback's fluctuations against six major currencies) at 10:13 a.m. on November 6 (Vietnam time) was at 104.91 points, up 1.46% compared to the previous session.
