The value of corporate bonds bought back before maturity increased by more than 70.6%

According to the Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA), in May 2023, only one enterprise successfully issued corporate bonds, which was Nui Phao Mining Processing and Exploitation Company Limited with 4 issuances, total value of 2,600 billion VND, 5-year term, interest rate of 9%/year.

Accumulated from the beginning of the year until now, the total value of corporate bond issuance is recorded at VND34,258 billion, with 7 public issuances worth VND5,521 billion (accounting for 16% of the total issuance value) and 19 private issuances worth VND28,737 billion (accounting for 84%).

According to VBMA data compiled from the Hanoi Stock Exchange, as of June 2, businesses had bought back VND25,598 billion worth of bonds. The total value of bonds bought back by businesses before maturity since the beginning of the year has reached VND76,523 billion, up 70.6% over the same period.
