Nguyen Hien Trang (Bebe Chan) - leader of Limdim Story, a group that has just released a book for young people called All the answers are within us - shared with Tuoi Tre Online about the topic of Gen Z - the generation that has to "work hard" to overcome happiness.
Gen Z and the pressure to "surpass happiness"
Hien Trang said that with the economic and social conditions that Gen Z enjoys, these young people have long been labeled as "the generation with no reason to fail".
This has put too much pressure on Gen Z to succeed. Parents, relatives, and society all put a lot of pressure on them. Society requires Gen Z to be more versatile, to do many things, to possess many skills at the same time, something that previous generations were not required to do.
Just because Gen Z is given good learning conditions, has tools at hand, can easily study abroad, and access cultures and vast knowledge around the world.
Hien Trang gave an example in the marketing field where she is working, it is very common to see employers describing requirements for employees that marketers must be able to do images, know how to design, edit videos, write well, have rich ideas...
This was almost unthinkable for the previous generation, but for Gen Z, this demand is considered natural.
Gen Z also puts too much pressure on themselves to succeed.
Gen Z goes online every day, sees so many successful, beautiful, talented people… and then looks back and feels so bad about themselves. They feel so tired of the world.
As a Gen Y (born in 1987), Hien Trang also had to endure a lot of pressure to succeed like her Gen Z friends, who "had no reason to fail", because she grew up in a family famous for literature and art, and was given all the conditions to develop.
Hien Trang's paternal grandfather is writer Kim Lan and maternal grandfather is writer Hoang Cong Khanh. Her parents, aunts and uncles are all famous artists. She had to make an effort to "surpass happiness" like many other Gen Z people today.

A companion, not a teacher
Realizing that the publishing market has many books to help you overcome difficulties but very few books to help you "overcome happiness", Hien Trang and her team - Limdim Story - spent four years completing the nearly 200-page book All the answers are within us.
The book is for young people, both overcoming joy and overcoming hardship.

The book, as a reader shared at the book launch on the afternoon of October 26, is a word of comfort, encouragement, and sharing for young people who need a companion on their journey to adulthood.
Hien Trang said the book does not give anyone any specific answers to the difficulties they are facing. It reassures young people that there are many people facing the same problems as them.
The group of authors includes two Gen Z friends, contributing their own generation's voice to their generation.
The book does not feel like a "teaching" for young readers, but rather like whispers between friends and companions.
The book is presented in an attractive, airy way, very suitable for the short, fast reading habits of today's youth.
Limdim Story consists of 5 members: Andie Nguyen, Nguyen Hien Trang, Nguyen Thi Nham, Vo Xuan Thang, Tran Kim Ngoc.
Although working in many different fields, all 5 people share a passion for writing and want to convey positive messages to young people.
Prior to this book, Nguyen Hien Trang was the author and co-author of several other books for young people.
