A special class was held on March 9 in Hanoi, attracting hundreds of students who wanted to "learn to speak" to express their thoughts in a healthy way and develop themselves.

Attending the event early with her close friend, Dao Thi Thanh Tuyen (student of class 12A7, Thach That High School, Hanoi) shared that since childhood she has been a closed girl, rarely expressing her feelings or thoughts to her parents.
"Gradually, I realized that this could make my family not understand my situation and I could not understand my parents' feelings. In class, I also kept some distance between me and my friends," Tuyen confided.
Realizing that her lack of confidence in communication was an obstacle in her studies and life, Tuyen made an effort to practice speaking skills, looking for opportunities to express and voice her own opinions.
"When I open up more and am willing to share with my family and friends, I will receive advice and support to find solutions for anything. I am willing to admit my mistakes and am not afraid to share what I do not know or what I lack in my studies," Thanh Tuyen confided, adding that besides school lessons, learning to speak is an important skill to promote the development of each individual.
As for Nguyen Hong Anh, Thanh Tuyen's deskmate, being confident in communication helps her a lot in her position as class monitor of class 12A7.
"You have to speak out your problems and desires to find a suitable solution. However, speaking also requires tact," Hong Anh shared.
Thanh Tuyen and Hong Anh are two of nearly 800 students studying in Hanoi and some neighboring localities participating in the program organized by QANDA Study.
Following the success of the previous two programs, this year's program focuses on the theme of "learning to speak" with the hope of helping Gen Z, who are still in school, to express their personal thoughts in a healthy way.
At the event, students also had the opportunity to interact with literature teacher Suong Mai and artist Jun Pham - the recipient of the C prize of the National Book Award in 2024.
According to Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Huyen, author of the book and teacher with 7 years of experience teaching math on online platforms, both students and teachers need to learn and practice communication skills.
Teachers need to teach and convey knowledge through words so that students can easily understand. And students also need to express things they do not know or lessons they do not understand so that teachers can grasp and explain promptly.
