On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and preparing to welcome the Spring of At Ty 2025, on the morning of January 20, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat held a meeting with leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front, and members of the Party Central Committee of all terms, to review the glorious 95-year history of the Party; to express gratitude and honor Party members who have made many contributions to the Party and State. General Secretary To Lam attended and spoke at the conference.

At the conference, delegates listened to comrade Tran Cam Tu report on the glorious journey of the Party over 95 years of building, fighting and growing; watched a film introducing 3 important projects of the Party. Also at the conference, Party and State leaders made valuable, accurate, dedicated and responsible contributions to the Party's leadership and the State's management and administration, contributing to supplementing and perfecting the Party and State's guidelines and policies in the coming time.

The General Secretary affirmed that, looking back at the 95 years of the Party's development and growth, we have the right to be proud and have complete confidence in the bright future of the Party and the nation. The Party members are constantly growing in both quantity and quality, capable of shouldering the responsibility of leading the country forward in the new era. With confidence in the strength of the Party and the solidarity of the entire nation, our entire Party, people and army will overcome all difficulties and challenges, bringing the country to rapid and sustainable development in the new era.
Reviewing the country's outstanding and important achievements in various fields, the General Secretary affirmed that these were the results of the close leadership and direction of the Party and State, the drastic management and implementation of the Government, and the unceasing efforts of all levels of government, mass organizations, the business community, and the great contributions of each cadre, party member and people nationwide. In particular, the achievements have been greatly contributed by former leaders, veteran revolutionaries, many intellectuals and dignitaries in the country and overseas Vietnamese.
Emphasizing that 2025 is of special importance, the General Secretary shared that in order to successfully achieve the development goals by 2030 and by 2045, from 2025, the whole country must make maximum efforts, create breakthrough factors in attracting investment, strongly promote production, business, and services, strive to achieve a growth rate of at least 8% or higher, creating a solid foundation to achieve double-digit growth from 2026.
The achievements of 40 years of renovation are enormous, of historical significance, helping Vietnam accumulate position and strength for breakthrough development in the next period. However, we must not allow ourselves to be complacent but must seriously review to clearly see the limitations, weaknesses, and challenges that are currently and in the coming years, not only from the outside, from objective factors, but also from internal problems, "barriers" from institutions and culture.
The General Secretary said that it is necessary to unify awareness and strictly implement the Party's leadership and governance methods, absolutely not allowing excuses, replacing or loosening the Party's leadership. The Party leads through the political system of which the Party is the core; leads by ideology, guidelines, policies and exemplary vanguard, regular self-criticism and criticism of cadres and Party members; by institutionalizing the Party's guidelines, guidelines and policies into State laws. It is necessary to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in Party activities. Continue to seriously implement the Central Committee's resolutions and conclusions on promoting Party building and rectification and the political system in association with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.
The fight against corruption and waste must continue to be carried out vigorously and continuously. The inspection and supervision role of Party committees and inspection committees at all levels must be highly promoted, loopholes must be promptly detected, resolutely prevented, repelled, and severely punished degraded cadres and Party members, and the Party must be maintained in its purity.
Regarding socio-economic development, the General Secretary emphasized that it is necessary to innovate more strongly, decisively, drastically, revolutionaryly and comprehensively in economic management; focus on effectively and substantially implementing economic restructuring, associated with growth model innovation, building on the foundation of science, technology, digital transformation and especially taking people as the center, focusing on developing high-quality human resources. Investment in cultural development must be in harmony with the economy and society, creating a civilized, united and progressive society.
The social policy system needs to be built in a comprehensive, modern and sustainable manner, well implemented, with special attention to supporting disadvantaged groups. Policies on ethnicity, religion and belief need to be fair, effective, and oriented towards a safe and friendly living environment. Firmly protect independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity; ensure political security and social order and safety; promote foreign affairs and international integration.
Regarding specific tasks, the General Secretary said that in 2025, there are three major groups of tasks that need to be focused on. First, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress is the highest goal of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army. This task will be carried out with the highest determination, the greatest effort, drastic actions, with a focus and key points with the most effective solutions, concentrating all resources and measures, striving to achieve and exceed the set goals, creating the premise for the next breakthrough phase.
Second, hold party congresses at all levels to prepare for the 14th National Party Congress, focusing on two main contents: preparing documents for the Congress and preparing personnel. In particular, personnel work is an important task, of decisive significance to the successful implementation of the Party's policies and guidelines to bring the country into a new era.
Third, implementing the Central Executive Committee's policy on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and arranging and perfecting the organization of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently. This is an urgent requirement and a particularly important task, highly anticipated by cadres, party members and the people.
At the conference, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam awarded the Gold Star Order to former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung for their great and outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

On this occasion, the Party and State posthumously awarded the Ho Chi Minh Order to former President Tran Dai Quang for his great and outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. On behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam presented the Ho Chi Minh Order to the representative of comrade Tran Dai Quang's family.
In recognition of the great contributions of former Party Central Committee members to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the Standing Committees of provincial, municipal and central Party Committees have decided to award the 80-year, 65-year, 60-year, 55-year, 50-year, 45-year and 40-year Party membership badges to 15 comrades. At the conference, President Luong Cuong and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented the Party badges to the comrades.
